Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
He's a very famous old actor in the UK, he's been in loads of TV shows and movies - maybe they just haven't made their way to the states.
On Brad Grey, yeah Brad is a real nice guy and also has the offshoot 'Brad Grey TV' now - should make an excellent co-producer. Bernie is da man though !
I think the Manson rumor is false, i've heard about it before. Robin Williams is much more likely for Wonka IMO. Possibly Jim Carrey for Slugworth. Lots of the original cast are still alive so i'd like to see some cameos.
Hi Guys,
I saw that McDonalds in the UK are running a new 'Hoobs' Happy Meal promotion. They are toys of the main characters & Motorettes on a keyring type chain thing. The box art for the Happy Meal is pretty good and looks like their Hoobmobile. You can probably find out more at...
Target have all their Palisades stock in their main warehouse - what Matleo said is right, there are rumors Target won't be putting any of their Muppet figure stuff out till August, maybe even September.
On the good news front at least that means people who can't afford S4 now will be able to...
I think it's too late for the Swinetrek now, they are quite advanced in making it but i'm hoping we see a disco crystal ball as an accessory with 'Afro Kermit' if he ever gets made (which will probably equate to how easily i can make it over to Maryland to chain myself to Ken's car !) so it'd be...
The deal with Hallmark/Odyssey Channel for Henson programming which would have brought Hoobs to the USA was bought out. That doesn't mean it isn't still available for distribution there if a channel wanted. They made all 250+ episodes of 'The Hoobs' in the UK and are now waiting to see if...
Yeah we are discussing this over at Palisades - it'll come in at 9 or 10'ish inches. The discussion is over whether it is possible to have it as a regular carded figure in the line or whether it will be a boxed retailer exclusive or a boxed exclusive available to all retailers. My money is on...
It seems so - maybe the Isle Of Scilly will get in on the act next ! :D
At a guess the article might have been put out by the 'The Isle of Man Film Commission' who are funding the film but i'm not sure.
It's just that honeycomb thing - sorry, it gets to me ! The rest of the PVC is perfect but it's just that effect - it makes me tingle inside like the super shiny Gonzo did. LOL !
If they can find a market for these that'll support sets i really like Phillip's ideas. The MCC set always...
I think they look pretty good - Sam's body is awful but i don't have a problem with Piggy at all. I'm not really massively convinced about the PVC's - they are a nice extra product to have but i don't see people going crazy over them. It's nice to have some obscure characters but then i don't...
That's assuming 'Luke' actually got the answers right - I can imagine the end titles shot of Quinn chasing me around the studio bashing me on the head repeatedly with Rubber Duckie for getting it wrong ....... unless we got a Penguin, ALF or Britney question. Then the end title shot would be...
Great to hear about the new shipping options and the shipping calculator - i shall have to grill Tony on what the options are and look at joining. That'll make his day ! LOL ! Thanks for finding out about that Ken.
Heres a lil' scoop :-
Keith Chapman, is the guy who created the succesful pre-school animation series "Bob The Builder" in the UK for "HIT Entertainment", but prior to this he worked at Henson for 3 years as Art Director for Muppets licensed product which gave him the inspiration to create...
LOL Muppet Twister - now THAT would be funny - people having to put their right flipper on the red spot and getting tangled up with somebody elses left trotter ! :)
