Your Thoughts: A Special Sesame Street Christmas DVD and CD

Yeah - SG's right. That scene was only cut out on certain PBS station re-runs.

Thank you James Rolfe for exposing this to me.

The Return of "Whose Line is it Anyway"

Jerry Seinfeld wasn't completely safe from the Seinfeld Curse. Remember, I know Bee Movie has it's fans but we can't forget that it basically failed critically and was one of DreamWorks' lowest-grossing CG films.

The Return of "Whose Line is it Anyway"

That's the same sitation Ren & Stimpy went through. For about 3 years after the Adult Party Cartoon premiered, Nickelodeon completely disowned it as one of their shows. The DVDs don't have the Nickelodeon logo on them at all and I assume the episodes Nick produced themselves were stripped of...

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

ScBig haul today... Wreck-It Ralph - Thank you $7 off coupon. Besides, it's an awesome movie and if I own Brave (have I mentioned how much I hate that movie as of late? :p), I'd want to own a much better animated movie from last year to go with it. Schindler's List - It was coming out today...

    Dreams about Muppets...

I had a dream months ago where I was at some Wizard World-type convention and Dave Goelz was there as a guest. I went over to his table where he was signing things and he didn't have a line at all. We were talking for what felt like a half-hour and it was awesome. I don't even think we were...

Vivendi to release new Fraggle Rock DVDs and other Henson Classics

It's a nice box, don't get me wrong, I just don't want to invest more money in this series again if I have essentially everything.

The Return of "Whose Line is it Anyway"

Well, if Degrassi can run seemingly as many seasons as The Simpsons. :cluck:

Vivendi to release new Fraggle Rock DVDs and other Henson Classics

OK, so now the two bonus DVD's are bonus material and not the animated series? Aye-yi-yi...

Your first trip to the movies.

I know I saw many of the Disney Renaissance films of the 90s as a child but the first movie I distinctly remember seeing in theaters was Casper with my cousins. Then the next one I remember is Hercules and that I'm pretty sure the first real live-action movie I saw in theaters might have been...

Spaghetti Space Race at Universal Studios Singapore

Then my "Universal needed somebody fast" theory is correct. :fishy:

Spaghetti Space Race at Universal Studios Singapore

In all honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if it was temporary. I'd think Universal wanted some recording specific to what they needed and so Sesame needed to get someone to voice Elmo fast, hence casting Peter. But if Peter is in fact the new Elmo, yay for him because he certainly deserves that...

Spaghetti Space Race at Universal Studios Singapore

It's certainly not Kevin of course but I'd be completely pro-Peter taking over Elmo. Though I would be concerned how this would alter how much Walter we see in the future. Then again, presumably Peter wouldn't be as involved with the show creatively as Kevin was, so it'd be easier from him to...

Spaghetti Space Race at Universal Studios Singapore

That's most definitely Peter Linz. I guess we'll have to see if this is official, another main character couldn't hurt for Peter and Elmo would most certainly be in very good hands. But again, this is a wait and see situation.

Nine Years Later: Disney buys Muppets and Bear

Exactly. We could complain about how some of the productions might not be as good as we hoped, how the merchandise can be hit-or-miss, how that one obscure Muppet special we want to see isn't on DVD, how the characters might be being Flanderized to an extent, but after a while it makes me want...

Nine Years Later: Disney buys Muppets and Bear

Yeah, I'll reiterate what Duke said. Sure, things aren't completely perfect but we are on our way there. Think of those final years Henson owned the Muppets: What did we get? A severely misguided direct-to-video movie and a tampered-with-to-death made-for-TV movie and Pizza Hut commercials...

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

I haven't picked it up yet, but it's looking like since I just printed out a $7 off coupon for it I'll be buying the 3D Blu-ray of Wreck-It Ralph on release day after all. I'm sure I'll pick up something esle there too since I'm such a Blu-ray-grubbing guy. I'll let you know on Tuesday.

    Oscars 2013

I dunno, I think this woman (and most moviegoers it seems) would disagree with that: (seriously though, Les Mis clearly had definite effort put into it but the musical just wasn't meant to be filmed. Don't kill me.)

    Oscars 2013

Yeah, my apologies. That part wasn't really a direct response to you, I just felt it necessary to post my opinions on Brave since I've brought up my resentment about it winning without really expressing any opinion on it in the thread.
