    The future of Sesame Street

Just my own observation on that issue: Let's face it, Caroll is much older now, he doesn't live around New York so he's really only doing Sesame whenever he really wants to, he's been slowing down quite a bit and his performances as of late (mostly as Big Bird, not so much as Oscar) make that...

    The future of Sesame Street

First off, big shout-out to jvcarroll for coming up with the idea for this thread. I will say right now that discussion of one of the situations that happened to a former performer that in a way prompted this thread will not be discussed here. This is a discussion about the show and it's...

Elmo Muppeteer Kevin Clash resigns from Sesame Street

If these allegations are in fact true, it's obvious that Kevin really needs some help and I'm sure he can get it. But a thing to note here is that Kevin only resigned from Sesame Workshop. It's still a separate organization from Henson. If he wanted to, he realistically could certainly keep a...

    Jim Henson's Teeny Tiny Dogs

Please tell me that the "teeny tiny dogs" are puppets and not HDPS creations.

How Disney Can Reinvigorate the Muppets

Yeah, considering Disney's non-Muppet puppetry input consists of well, this... I'd be all for a new Muppet show but it really would never work. It would be compared to the original show constantly and probably not do that well, sad I know but it's being realistic.

How Disney Can Reinvigorate the Muppets

Just an observation that was pointed out by Jim Hill... granted he's full of stuffing but he was onto something with this: for the first 5 years, the Henson Company had a commitment deal with Disney to approve every Muppet production and consult on them. Once that ends, the gears really get...

    From Broadway With Love

That's really too bad. Tyler could use a main character and a comeback for Herry would certainly do it. But I assume Matt is taking over Jerry's Sesame characters once he gets back from London.

Muppets sequel plot and promotional photo in Entertainment Weekly

I actually really like this plot. Overdone, yes, but the fact that the focus seems to be on the Muppets this time for sure (note no Jason Segel in the picture like the last time we got a big group publicity photo) and is a very Kermit-centric plot makes me happy.

    Character Autographs?

When a friend of mine asked David Rudman to sign something as Boo, Rudman was happily surprised though pointed out that he wasn't even sure he ever signed anything as Boo. Though it seems like it's only the main performers who sign as their characters. When I met Louise Gold and Stephanie...

    Character Autographs?

Oh, a Jim Henson autograph no doubt. Especially since Jim wasn't alive in my lifetime to have an autograph from him would be splendid. But still the highlight of all my Muppet items: Yup.

    From Broadway With Love

I think it has something to do with the fact that Pam and Tyler are Connecticut residents, this was a concert to benefit a Connecticut school, hence why we get Herry and Grundgetta. The filming of The Muppets... Again had something to do with their presence definitely but still, great to see...
