What made you roll your eyes today thread?

I've made it a point to watch both Fox and MSNBC. What I will compliment Fox on is they very often have left wing guests. Sure, they are scrutinized more at times, but there are actual debates going on. MSNBC is strangely less likely to have right wing guests. Very often it's a bunch of left...

What made you roll your eyes today thread?

Trusted by who? Not me, lol. Pretty much all the news sources have an agenda at this point. It's all about politics and entertainment. Fox has no monopoly on this. And I doubt Williams walked away. That's usually code for "was asked to leave without a fuss." Don't get me wrong, O'Reilly's...

I was really impressed with NPH, he was a lot of fun. If we couldn't get Billy Crystal (best host ever), I'm glad we got NPH. :) And I also appreciated the "I Won't Remember You" song. It hits close to home for me, and that should be the job of all these nominees. I would have preferred Robert...

I know I'm in the minority, but I'd put the new TMNT at #2, just below the 1990 film. Bottom line for me is whether I enjoyed the turtles as characters. And I was even cool with Fox as April.

It's always existed to a certain extent. Reflected in, say, that Transformers character that offended Casey Kasem. I don't mind the occasional edgy humor about it. If I, as an Italian, have to constantly tolerate people's childish obsession with the mob, then other cultures can deal with this...

Well, the world wasn't quite as overly sensitive in 1993. You didn't hear about artists being threatened left and right.

Well you know how it will go. The way it always goes for minority groups on TV and movies. It will become really trendy and everybody will be doing it. And then the fad will pass. The only way to make it last is to create characters whose sole motivation isn't that they're gay. Writers still...

Because there's still a lot of groups that would complain about children seeing same sex couples and the networks and studios don't want the trouble. Trouble means no money. ;) Adults are pretty much allowed to see what they want to see, but children don't have the same rights (which is both...

It feels like they knew Polynesian characters wouldn't necessarily be thin, so they went full blown cartoony. I agree, quite disturbing. Not cool, Disney. And you know who kinda already beat them to it? Shrek.

Not all, or even most, real life royalty throughout history have been drop dead gorgeous. Doesn't mean they didn't deserve a prince (or princess) of their own. ;)

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

I think Lohan got a lot of bad breaks in her life. Her parents seem to be an utter mess and I don't underestimate the damage that causes, pretty much forever. Plus Hollywood really does chew up and spit out its child actors. Execs will turn a blind eye to drug and alcohol abuse, even if it's...

    Dealing with depression and anxiety

Well, thank you, seriously. I don't know, there are times when I can accept that I'm just a naturally shy person and there's no shame in that. It's mainly hardest when I want to go do something fun and realize I'd probably have to do it alone. So I end up not doing it at all. Like, I know people...
