Rick did a great job, good for him! Of course, the last time I complimented a new Kermit performer, I got an ear full here. But this time I frankly don't care. ;)
They are spot on. Like I said before, you can give your opinion at work, but at some point you either play ball, or you have to resign, or you're asked to leave.
Ehhh, well being a bit of a hard a** teacher is not the same as being difficult in contract negotiations. That's a whole other animal and companies ultimately care about that more.
Yeah I mean I can't defend it obviously, you shouldn't kick someone when they're down.
I doubt there's any bad guy in this. They've all struggled to cope since Jim passed away. It's like The Godfather, the organization is never the same after the leader is gone.
Lisa Henson's statement was fair. Contract negotiations are so often the catalysts for these problems.
Cheryl clearly didn't mean for her comment to be all that public and seemed upset in the moment. Social media is nobody's friend. ;)
Well people are weird, needless to say. But anyway, I think Lisa Henson's statement is probably more relevant to the current situation:
Boom. It always comes down to that. You take risks in contract negotations and sometimes it pays off, and sometimes it doesn't. And Lisa also talked about how...
Cheryl lost her father, she has every right to be emotional when someone else takes ownership of his character like that.
But that's probably completely separate from the Disney firing. Disney is probably just reeling from the last two bombs and need someone to blame.
Ehhh, OK, I half see Cheryl's point. Steve's Kermit is very different from Jim, more snarky, etc, and I haven't always felt it was right. But that's not all on him, that's on the Henson company and Disney as well, for how they chose to write the character in the '90s and 2000's. But I can...
Whenever I used to stay at my Grandma's house, I would stay in the guest room which had Paddington Bear wall paper. They sold the house years back, I'll never see it again. ::sniff:: I've actually had dreams about staying over again.
Maybe not the immediate popularity of the 70s and 80s but they're definitely fondly remembered. As far as younger generations, well from what I've seen they certainly have a strong following on Tumblr. ;)
The first guy turned out to be really screwy, twice setting up plans, not showing up and then blaming me. The second guy did have a slightly better excuse and we have agreed to try again Monday. These are both from speed dating so yeah, we hadn't talked much before hand. But they reached out to...
Well I've been stood up now by not one but two guys. And when I get upset, my friend tells me I'm too unforgiving and pessimistic, lol. And no, I can't break up with this friend as she's pretty one of the few I'm still able to talk to regularly.
I hate my life.
Well I was supposed to go to a speed dating event last night, but I was sick earlier last week, and I have rehearsals coming up this weekend (both days), so I decided it was best to stay home. This morning I found out my co worker just happened to sign up for the event as well! It would have...
