FAO Schwartz: Muppet Whatnot Workshop coming October 22

BUT.....a nice training tool. Plus I imagine it will be a really nifty place to pick up some pre-made eyes + noses.....as well as clothes. AND eventually patterns when ppl start taking theirs apart. You gotta look at what you can scavenge. But I think they will be really nice training tools for...

    Can Anybody Be Puppeteer?

Ok, yea. I see that. Good Point. I also sort of wonder if......without having it taught places are we not pushing puppetry far enough?---Ex...because most of us are self taught are we just circling around with the same ideas and techniques instead of innovating? like innovation is pushed in...

    Can Anybody Be Puppeteer?

Yea!.....But there are of course other styles of Puppetry that don't need voices---like table-top, shadow, rod etc...... But I think you can work toward those voices---just don't think as "cartoony" think naturalistic.....just change your pitch if you want and try moderate accents.. A lot...

    Can Anybody Be Puppeteer?

I believe that Puppetry can really only be learned by the individual...and Not taught... it takes too long to learn for it to be taught by an institution. I also believe that Puppetry chooses the person...and they're born with the ability to perform the tool......It may take years for them to...

Question to those who make replicas

Yea. I thought that was interesting too. & for clear up...staceyrebecca means that the eyes aren't pure white as they would seem. There are small bits of gray/black all over that cameras don't pick up. It's really interesting but cool. But I don't know if the wacky stacks are speckled....the...

Question to those who make replicas

I saw a pair earlier this summer on an old eye mech example. They're really just like smaller thicker ping pong balls. Sorry--I just looked if I had taken any pics of them...but I hadn't.----But they're slightly smaller & thicker than ping pong balls. Really not too special.

How to repair a fallen-off puppet arm

Oh ok. The plastic is a doll joint. It comes in three pieces. If you can find all three you'll be good. Or you might have to order more. But the three pieces are a Part with a stick sticking out, a little circle with a hole in the middle and a larger circle that have teeth to hold the stick in...
