The end of Playhouse Disney Live at WDW

I'd Love to see both of those videos. Would you be opposed to breaking it up into shorter bits on youtube? or is it also to large of a file for that?

Best place to get Puppets for a High School Theatre Group

hmmmm.......It would seem to me...that for a high school program aimed at Teaching puppetry and one that's on a budget, it would make sense for the students to build their own puppets and learn to experiment with what works and doesn't work for them. Going through and learning basics of each...

    Knees

ANYTHING that keeps you from performing on your knees is worthwhile. Yes. You can build your own rolling boards, or purchase those rolling planting pot holders from a hardware store, and even stores like Target sells really cheap comfortable low to the ground rolling recliners that are really...

    Very basic question: Drinking?

I rigged this up for a commercial for my Puppetry Club in high school a few years ago. We used real milk. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qq1OzA6WAYA&feature=channel_page it's pretty simple. If you've ever cleaned/drained a fish tank with a fish in it, it's similar to that. The cup had a hole...

    Pattern advice for designed pupppets

Yea, Cool. I would say go back to the basic shapes of the characters and build the features on top of those. Like the Dog (Which I like the design for) looks like a oval (or verticle watermelon) after making that, cut a hole and create the snout/mouthplate and then add on foam pieces of the...

Like one of those Puppet holding racks/trees like in stores? They can be bought on ebay pretty cheaply. Or you could buy a coat rack!

    Short Carving Knives?

You know....I've discovered that a straight razor is really Great at little carving. (And it looks cool. You can get a cheap one and disposable blades at Sally's for less than $10 and it cuts foam and fleece really nicely and I've used it to carve small blocks of foam to great success.

    My school's Puppetry Club!

Yea, don't worry about it. It's always good to start small, build a following and then it'll probably catch on. The word of mouth is a pretty powerful thing. Does your school have televised morning announcements? If so...try to get a puppet on there advertising the club...either being...

    Lion puppet on Ebay

Nice to see the video!.....I always enjoy those & getting a chance to see how the puppet moves is always nice for the imagination. I like that you made his mouth exposed foam & is so flexible...it looks like he can do the Miss Piggy lower jaw pout. I like that...

Hey BobThePizzaBoy! That's Great to hear! I'm glad I inspired you/this. There are a lot of good clips on youtube you could show of fun stuff. But there's also "Of Muppets and Men" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRkmhJRl0Ec And I made one on my club when we were filming one of our commercials...

What Comes First ~ The Puppet or The Script ?

I agree with Blink. I usually like to design the characters first and then try to develop a story around them and redesigning the character as needed to better fit the story/character--(Ex. My current show has gone from an Mouse to a Squirrel) But I do like the idea of work shopping your...

    Jim Henson's Pajanimals

Yea. I think this will be an interesting show. Just a side note though......I like the design.....but for all of them except the duck the mouths really overpower the face and you lose eye contact Really easily....Just watch that clip & the dogs nose blocks his eyes Really well when he's trying...
