    The Big Sesame Street Survey

    1) What year did you first begin watching the show? 1982 or so? I can't ever remember not being aware of the show. 2) Who is your favorite SS Muppet? Probably Grover. Perhaps Bert. 3) Who is your favorite human cast member? Gordon 4) Name one Jeff Moss song. I'd have to look up who...

    Questions about SST Credits

I think that credit is referring to the word "Muppet"; the characters are, as you mentioned, Sesame's.

Your Thoughts: Muppets Letters to Santa

I think this show was very good at showing Gonzo as a well-rounded character. There were a number of good Muppety moments (Statler and Waldorf's "Silent Night" gag; Crazy Harry). The overall tone was a little sweeter than I like (I much prefer the Muppets at their zaniest), but forgivable from a...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

It's still there. I can't remember what part of the area the usual place is, but I definitely remember seeing the picture. By the way, does anyone else think Horatio's ears are a little too big for his parents to be from India?

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

Okay, from my dictionary: pollo: (zool) chick, (culin) chicken gallina: hen gallo: rooster puerco: (adj) dirty, filthy; (animal) pig cerdo: (animal) pig; (persona) pig, swine Cross-checking with another dictionary pretty much confirmed this.

(Sniff) You mean they're (sniff) dead? Ha ha, just kidding.

    Your Thoughts: Elmo’s Christmas Countdown

All in all, not a bad special for the type. But were you paying attention to the commercials? That pixelization was just WRONG.

    Your Thoughts: Elmo’s Christmas Countdown

Yeah, when Elmo is putting his own name in there when quoting someone else, it's time for someone to teach him some pronouns.

Rowlf and The Swedish Chef on Saturday Night Live

Yeah, the Muppet skit was the best thing on that episode, except for Weekend Update, which is the reason I tune in.

Your Thoughts: Fraggle Rock Season 3

I just have to say that Fraggle Rock seems to have set the standard by which all other DVD TV collections' special features will be measured (and most found wanting). Well done.

Really? My station says Tuesday and Friday. Everyone check your own local listings.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Well, you'll notice that in the season premiere, they used a cut rather than a pan to get from the fix-it-shop to the library; the subway is what's physically on the set. That said, you'd think they wouldn't forget such a detail during the same season.

Exhibit - Jim Henson's Fantastic World

The old thread is in this section, a few threads down. Maybe you just read too quickly and skimmed over it.

The Stars of Today's Sesame Street

The dates I gave were for that copy of the character, not necessarily the original.

Exhibit - Jim Henson's Fantastic World

Well, Little Rock is a bit too long of a drive to drive two weeks in a row for the same thing (after all, my screen name is "something" of a fan, not "obsessed stalker" of a fan). Seriously, it is well worth seeing, though. I didn't see the store, but there was a brochure available at the...

Exhibit - Jim Henson's Fantastic World

Dates are for the building of that particular copy of the character: Kermit, 1970s Goshposh and Featherstone, 1968 Wilkins and Wontkins, 1979 Rowlf, 1976 Sir Linit (the personification of "a spray fabric finisher", built for commercials for that product) Mahna Mahna, 1992 Two Snowths...

Exhibit - Jim Henson's Fantastic World

No photos allowed, unfortunately (so said the sign at the entrance). It's quite an exhibition. There are numerous character design/inspiration sketches on display, screens showing early clips (including excerpts from Sam and Friends, commercials, and Time Piece), storyboards, Dark Crystal...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

You may be thinking of Feet. Or maybe it was a rerun from an older season; I haven't been keeping up with those. Although I almost mis-parsed the question as "earlier than this year" rather than "earlier this year", which would have been obvious from the use of Mr. Noodle's brother.
