Professor puppet and new Kermit replica

That's strange. I can still see them, and they are still on the photobucket site when I look on there. I will have some more soon anyway so I will try and re add them then.

Professor puppet and new Kermit replica

So i don't like doing one thing at a time, so as well as videos for my own YouTube channels and clients, I have no puppet orders which means i get to do a couple for myself. I started working on a professor type puppet about a week back. His head is based on a Project Puppet pattern, but i...

    Glove Puppet Patterns?

I really like the thumb positioning on this one. I have only done a few live hand puppets so have never had much chance to play around with the glove hand pattern I use. The position you have created here though looks really natural.

    Glove Puppet Patterns?

This is the link to the body... there are also some other good head patterns on there. http://www.youppets.com/puppet-patterns-recopilation-recopilacion-de-patrones-de-marionetas/

    Glove Puppet Patterns?

Ah, I get what you mean. I think the sketches with Ernie in the bath probably show the shoulder shape best...like this one. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/hiMgAj1p68A/hqdefault.jpg There is a pattern that someone created and posted on a facebook site. I can't access it now but when I am home in a few...

DinkyDoo, Dolly Doo Doo and Little Critter Projects

The greatest compliment I can give is congratulations on getting through all of those hands a the same time. When I get an order and see that its a rod puppet I have palpitations just thinking about it (so I started bulk making to get the pain out the way in one go). Three really great puppets...

    Glove Puppet Patterns?

Many of the puppets like Ernie are sometimes called Live Hand puppets...because they have "live" hands in place of stuffed ones I'm guessing. There aren't actually many differences between live hand and rod puppets that have a human body rather than a large open body like Cookie and Co. The...

New Web Series and John Lennon Cover

So its almost Christmas, and rather than the funny message, this year i thought I would do something a bit more serious considering the things that have happened in the world in the last few months. So i decided to direct Eddie Lizzard in a cover of John Lennon's Imagine. The song seems just...

    Ostrich plume hair question

I agree with trimming. I think a lot of the direction of the feathers depends on the direction they are attached in. If they are attached so they naturally lie towards the back of the head then they are going to fall back there even if they do momentarily obscure the eyes. Think of them like...

    Dr. Bunsen Honeydew Replica

So, I finally managed to get around to making this one in between orders, video projects and everything else. What is there to say? It's Bunsen. I managed to take a few shots of him although I only had one light up at the time so they aren't the best. I'll probably put more up on my site when...

    Yoda puppet

He looks amazing. I've never been a massive fan of Star Wars, but I do like a bit of Yoda. He's one character I've always wanted to make as a muppet style character...he's on my list an i'll no doubt get to him some time. However, this one is a good version of the real thing.

    Are these good for replicas?...

Still one of the best Fozzie replicas I've seen Chris. :)

    Are these good for replicas?...

Ah right...well glad to have inspired you in some way lol. I liked the build until i added the eyes. I kind of rushed them using polystyrene half egg shapes so i really wasn't happy with the final Fozzie. No doubt he will go on my list for a rebuild when time allows. :)

    Are these good for replicas?...

Thanks...yes i made him about a year ago. I didn't have to resize the pattern at all - the fur kind of makes it a bit larger than the foam skull suggests anyway, but I think it is sometimes easy to try and make puppets too big - I know i was very guilty of that with the first animal i built...

    Are these good for replicas?...

i used the punto for a Fozzie replica I made about a year ago. It worked great...the one change i did have to make was to build the full "skull" and then cut off the lower jaw and build it on the mouthplate directly to get that extra flexibility Fozzie has.

Whoa, a stunning Animal puppet on eBay!

i'm not surprised you decided not to sell him. I made an animal as the first ever puppet i made and that was what made me start making puppets as a business, but then i did a rebuild (pics below) and i didn't have a pattern so there was a lot of looking at the five or six variants on Animal...

The Lizzard Brothers You Tube Channel

Hi all, In among the various orders, ideas, pilots, personal videos and other things, I have finally put up The Lizzard Brothers' channel on You Tube. I have a load of things planned for these guys, as they seem to have developed of their own accord into more than I originally planned, so...

    Count Von Count replica

He's looking great so far. I think when i made him i used the rotundo (rotunda??) head - i have the template on card so forget the name - for the head and just took the mouth further back into the head to allow it to open wider. I used Rit dye for the Antron and it worked great. It was...

    Old Grandpa Puppet complete

Just wanted to share a few pictures of this old man/grandpa puppet that i have just finished for a customer. Part of the spec required him to have interchangable eyes like What Not muppets, so he ended up with three sets.
