    Another Muppetlab Replica :-)

I didn't think the fur was too bad to do on my first Fozzie - starting with a fawn fabric and dying it to make it darker and with the orange tint - Eyes on the other hand...just couldn't get them right at all. He looked either angry or stary.

New OETKB Puppet for Sale on Ebay

Hi all, In between orders, I managed to put together a new little guy for sale on eBay. He is a little bit frog, a little bit fraggle, a little bit furry...so that makes him a ...er... froggly? Maybe not. Anyway, he's on a short auction until Sunday so check him out at the link below...

    Curtain call for Fozzie Bear...

His head was based on the Project Puppet Punto pattern although it needs tweaking depending on which version of Fozzie you want to end up with.

    Another Muppetlab Replica :-)

I think Fozzie is one that has had the most appearance changes over the years...like Animal.

    Another Muppetlab Replica :-)

I thought they had a spoon look - pretty much a dead on shape and size match for the latest Fozzie. :)

    Another Muppetlab Replica :-)

Lol, it can be really hit or miss whether it works as well. What have you used for these eyes?

    Another Muppetlab Replica :-)

I managed to find the fur okay for mine...it was the eyes that were a nightmare and I was not happy with them at all. Can't wait to see him finished.

    Curtain call for Fozzie Bear...

Yes the hat was mad from a base hoop of plastic with the rest of the hat made from card and covered in felt. The band was a brown velvet material.

    Curtain call for Fozzie Bear...

The fur is shag fur bought from BigFabricz (i think that was the one) but when it came it straight and caramel coloured. I boiled it for about ten minutes and added some sunshine yellow dye to it. I know a lot of the time dyes don't work well on furs unless you buy something specialist, but...

    Curtain call for Fozzie Bear...

And here are some of the pictures of almost finished Fozzie. The only thing really missing is his eyebrows. I wasn't completely satisfied with his eyes as the eye lids come a little bit too far down the side of his eyes. I think he is a combination of a few different Fozzie variants - as...

    Curtain call for Fozzie Bear...

Well, a few people asked what the next replica would be from Old Enough To Know Better puppets and despite a couple of custom orders I found time to crack on with the one and only Fozzie Bear. Still a couple of pieces to work on at the front so for now to whet the appetite here is a quick shot...

My first muppet. . . Jareth the Goblin King?

He's great and I have to say a pretty unique choice for a first puppet :)

A few of my custom builds

Great puppets Chris and congrats on making it to a year. I think if you've managed to get some TV work within a year of serious building then you're obviously doing something right :)

    Boober Fraggle Replica

It is only on one side like Antron...the back side of it is quite rough, a bit like the back of fur fabric.

    Boober Fraggle Replica

It is similar, as in you can hide the seams easier than with normal anti-pill fleece, but it's can go fluffier around the seams than antron if you pick it too much. It has got a different feel - the only way i can describe it is like the difference between cotton socks and nylon tights - but...

    Boober Fraggle Replica

Lol, yes it was only after giving to the person i made this for that I realised the photos i had taken didn't have the scarf in. I think it was due to it being the last thing made for it.
