Danger Mouse and Powerpuff Girls both announced for comebacks

And again on the Danger Mouse side of things, one of the latest episodes was centered on Jeopardy Mouse again, and it was a nice send-up of the Avengers movies (and I'm not talking about the British spy show from the '60s or its film adaptation from the '90s). Penfold also seems to be an...

    R.I.P. Elie Wiesel

Nobel prize-winning political activist, professor, and peace advocate Elie Wiesel had passed away at 87 yesterday at his Manhattan home. He is best known for being one of the few lucky survivors of the Holocaust, and since surviving that horror at Auschwitz, he has spoken out against hatred and...

    Commercial RAVE Time

I also give praise to the "Tips From Former Smokers" PSAs. They manage to take the "Smoking is bad, mmmkay?" message and make it more about "If you want to take up smoking, or continue to smoke, be aware of what you're getting yourself into". I especially like the ones that show some of these...

    Regular Show Series Talkback!

Rigby has finally graduated, but his nervousness over giving a speech in front of a national audience puts a roadblock in his path, not helped by Mordecai's ego getting a little crushed over him succeeding in such a big way. Meanwhile, Benson reunites with Pam in time just as the dome experiment...

CGI replacing puppets and cartoons :(

Unless you count the Land of the Lost movie that the Kroffts had a hand in producing, which used a ton of CGI.

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

That was the biggest lost opportunity in the crossover. Raven wasn't even wearing Bubbles' outfit when the Titans disguised themselves! You'd think the writers would know that considering they got much of the tone of the original PPG in there.

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

It's very vague at this moment, but it seems like they're going to satirize online and mobile games with the sequel, the latter of which especially needs to be taken down a peg.

    The Wander over Yonder Thread

The finale had a good amount of closure to it, but it's obvious that Craig McCracken had plans for more beyond that. Unfortunately, we're still never going to see it, if ever. :(

Sanjay an Craig: New Nick series

S&C will not be renewed for a 4th season, according to Chris Hardwick. https://mobile.twitter.com/hardwick/status/741448300977590272 I'm not too upset over this news. It had a good run of 3 seasons and 60 episodes, and I had a feeling it wasn't going to continue beyond that. I'd honestly be...

    Worst/creepiest puppets/puppeteer work

I'd say he looks more like Aero the Acro-Bat or that Larry Miller-voiced bat from Foodfight.

Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

Here's a little more info on those Tetris movies. http://www.empireonline.com/movies/news/exclusive-tetris-movie-will-first-part-sci-fi-trilogy/ Apparently Kasanoff wants a trilogy because this is supposed to be a huge, deep story. How freaking complex are falling blocks that it needs three of...

    Adults should watch Mr. Rogers

One other great thing about the show is the music. Longtime composer Johnny Costa played some very sophisticated jazz arrangements on the show, and refused to play "baby music". I just realized that that way of thinking is brilliantly reflected in the opening, where it starts off with a dreamy...

    Muppet Film and TV References

Last night's premiere episode of The $100,000 Pyramid hosted by Michael Strahan had one of the contestants describe Muppets. Kermit was the first clue given, which was correctly guessed.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Finding Dory is still on top, while the Independence Day sequel opened higher than its predecessor even though it's not making nearly as much money. But if it turns a big enough profit, Roland Emmerich might make a sequel. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?view=&yr=2016&wknd=26&p=.htm

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

That's actually quite touching. Even those who have the most seething hatred toward TTG should at least applaud the producers for helping make this boy's wish come true. :)

The Amazing World of Gumball Thread

And I almost forgot about the infamous one where Gumball blew Alan... up with air in a boys' bathroom stall as emotional blackmail. http://www.cracked.com/article_22360_7-incredibly-inappropriate-moments-in-famous-cartoons.html

    Harvey Beaks: New Nick series

The "Steampunks" two-parter was clearly meant to be the season 2 premiere, as Michele is still an egg here. Don't know why Nick opted to air them out of order, but I hope C.H. Greenblatt are able to sort this out in future airings or releases. Anyway, it was a fun episode showcasing Mothman's...

    The Bob's Burgers Discussion Thread

Also, I mentioned this in another thread before, but I give major props to Dan Mintz for writing "The Equestranauts". It could have been just nothing but a half an hour of the show making mean-spirited jokes about Bronies, but happened to gently poke fun of them in an even-handed fashion, and...
