    My Chewbacca Puppet is Done!!

Ha, Ha! As long as I am not the only one who does it. And if you have done it too, then I am in good company. Thanks for the positive words ravagefrackle. Thanks muppetwriter. I was going for a slightly softer version of the Star Wars characters. Hey BorkBork! Thanks so much. I like to...

    My Chewbacca Puppet is Done!!

Hey KermnieBaby47. You must have posted while I was responding to the others. Thank you. Funny, I never realized that Chewie's eyes were blue until I started to build this puppet. I am happy that you are a fan of my work. The summer is here and the building shall continue!

    My Chewbacca Puppet is Done!!

Hey Buck. Thanks. He was a blast to make. Thank you Tztz. It is amazing what simply brushing fur can accomplish. The fur stays pretty well neat and combed as long as I don't shake him really hard. Neat fur makes a difference on Chewbacca. Hi Fuzzhead. Thanks. Darth Maul was a cool...

    A new monster on e-bay

I totally love him! I can already hear his voice and see his personality. That is one of the signs of a great puppet. Super job Lab Rat!

    My Chewbacca Puppet is Done!!

Hey Everyone, Well the summer is here and I have tons of free time to work on my puppets. I have just finished my follow up to the Darth Maul puppet I built using the project puppet Rotondo pattern. This one uses the Punto pattern and is Chewbacca from Star Wars. Here is a link to...

I love it! It goes to show you how simple puppet designs and costumes can be quite effective in conveying a puppet's character. Well do Jarrod!

where to buy foam in toronto

Hey Faze, Quick question. When you say Scott Foam I am assuming you mean reticulated foam correct? Please correct me if I am wrong. There was a company that I purchased reticulated foam from years ago called Engineered Foam Products, 12 Kenhar Dr., Weston, Ontario, M9H 1N1...

Hey Zoot The Saxman, Your stuff is beautifully done! I rarely leave the puppetry forum, so I don't get to often see this stuff. I am glad I took a walk and found your work. Great job.

    Highschool Puppetry Club

Wow! Great job! I love the puppets. They remind me of Terry Angus' work. Who built the puppets? THey are very well done. Great quality and characters. I would love to see more video of them as well. Keep up the great work.

    Yarn Question...

Don't forget to dilute the white glue with water or you will have a solid plastic mass instead of semi-rigid hair. I think Buck means white glue mixed with water. Think of it as really strong hair spray.

    Wolf Hair Dryer Puppet

I just use an xacto knife. Ping pong balls are not as fragile as you might think. The knife will cut through the thin plastic skin just fine. A light but firm grip on the ping pong ball should do the trick. It really isn't much more dangerous than cutting an apple. I just hold the ping pong...

    spring puppet sale

Hey faze. Perhaps if you had links to pictures of the puppets you might get even more interest. It is hard for people sometimes to know that they might want something if they can't see it. Pictures speaking louder than words.:)

Working with kids and puppet building

Hi aaronmojo. I think it can work both ways. There are businesses that are set up to have all of the supplies in their studio and groups show up and have the workshop there. Other people have travel cases that they fill with workshop supplies and go to the client's location. It really all...

    Wolf Hair Dryer Puppet

Hey Wes! Just like you said there are tons of things that could be turned into puppets. You've already done it with you mouse and keyboard. Mine just happen to be a hair dryer. I think that lots of people have done this sort of thing. There was even a snippet of someone putting eyes on a...
