    Closing sequence

Hello, I was wondering when the end credit sequence with Barkley and kids running around outside was shot, and when it ceased to be used?

Do you have Sesame "clip" tapes?

I thought I'd bring up a peculiarity of mine that I was curious if anyone else did-does anyone else compile "clips" or "highlights" tapes of Sesame Street scenes that they like the best? If so, what do you put on them? Or am I just totally alone here?

    Your Sesame Street Era

1988-1991, and 1996-1998. I was born in 1988, and watched regularly until I first saw Placido Flamingo. I ran screaming from the room. That settled it for me. I refused to watch it after that because every time I tuned in, eventually he came on (my typical bad luck)....I have no idea if this...

    #3171-Grand High Triangle Lover Story

I was just looking at some old posts and saw that the above-mentioned episode was labeled as being from 1994. This confuses me, because I have a partial tape of this episode (or at least a remake of it) that was definitely taped in June or July of 1996. I always assumed it was a re-run of a...

Sesame Street episode guide coming soon

I used to have that episode, yeah, 4/4/97 sounds right, but I can't confirm it.

Sesame Street episode guide coming soon

Maybe it was. Or maybe there was even more to it, since I only have a fragment of the episode. I only saw one scene of the main plot line, and that was what it was about.

Sesame Street episode guide coming soon

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. I just assumed it was because it appeared that my sister taped the show every day, and 2549 was next on the tape. 2545 is probably more accurate.

Sesame Street episode guide coming soon

Most of them are incomplete either because I edited them when they aired or because they were taped over later. It's amazing to me that I taped the show almost every day for a year, and I only have 12 of those episodes left today! Anyway, here's what I have from that era: 1. The Grand...

Sesame Street episode guide coming soon

There's also 2548-Snuffy walks with Alice around Sesame Street. Also, I have a bunch of (mostly) partial 96-97 shows that I don't see on your list, but I can list them in order (some have the air date or #, alot don't) if you want.

    Disability Corner

OLLLD post, I know, but I stumbled across it and thought it might be worth replying to, I have to agree, though I do think perhaps you have it backward...really, it is a question of which came first, the chicken or the egg. As for my own disabilities... I've had a lifelong struggle...

    Wish me luck...

I'd be glad to let you know, when I get to that episode (which shouldn't be too long), I will make sure to take note of them and tell you!

    Wish me luck...

Whew, I know it has been ages since I've been able to comment further on this subject, but I've been quite busy! In whatever spare time I had from February to about September of this year, I looked through every one of my tapes to see which ones had episodes on them, arranged them by...

Opinions about the 1985 animated video "5 Sesame Street Stories."

Yeah, I know this is a really old post, but I just had to reply when I found this. I thought I was the only one who ever saw that one! I still have it, though I probably haven't watched it since I was maybe 5 years old, so I don't remember it being particularly cheesy (you look at everything...

The old Telly and Oscar routine

Perhaps they created Baby Bear to take Telly's attention away from Oscar? But then, I'm only guessing.

    Wish me luck...

I was planning on clearly labeling the new tapes, once they're dubbed, so I'll be able to find them easily again. But I don't think that they'd be worth much in trade (the two that I remembered that may be worth something from this collection, where an art collector wants to buy B. Birds sketch...

    Wish me luck...

Back in 1995-1997, I started watching SS again for the first time. Being an 8 or 9 year old who was completely oblivious to the world, I wasn't particularly ashamed of it, though I did get made fun of for it since I didn't hide it. Anyway, back in those days, I really didn't like the idea...

Have you ever explained a character to someone?

I've had to explain many of the more obscure, wonderful characters to the unenlightened public several times. Most often, I have had to explain Placido Flamingo, Don Music, even Snuffy!

    When you outgrew Sesame Street...

It was on two years ago????!!!! I haven't seen it on since maybe 1990!

    Favorite Sesame Street Books

I loved "Grover Goes to School" (I think that was the title) sooo much when I was a little kid...if I only knew what happened to my copy...

    When you outgrew Sesame Street...

No one really seemed to care...I was weird in a lot of other ways that me liking Sesame Street really seemed miniscule. My parents know and understand the sense of humor on SS that I really love, so they never really batted an eye over it.
