I can't remember the name of the cassette but it featured muppets singing or having skits on the alphabet. There were muppets such as Herbert Birdsfoot, Sherlock Hemlock and Grover singing "Two G's" and a funny song about the letter Q. I had it until the tape stretched.
I do remember!
Yes, this animated clip was the source of many a nightmare I had as a kid...by the way, this clip is a highly popular topic in the thread "What sketches scared you as a kid" in this forum. I recall a chameleon as the creature flicking its curly tongue and the music only made it...
Chris Cerf is Awesome
The man's voice is another one of the SS greats. I listened to the "Exit" song recently on youtube and I was amazed. He has a sort of raspy, rock singer's voice, almost on the Steve Perry style of delivery. He also did a good job on the song "Mr. Frazzle".
Have you tried contacting the actual person who posted the "Gimme Five" clip on youtube? I haven't seen it in a while though but that is one cool song.
Thanks!
Thanks for the answer. I always wondered who those ladies were- all now that's left to find out is if that clip is on youtube or available on some CD.
That was great!
I haven't seen the pinball clip in so many years, the Pointer Sisters did a really good job in the song. I wanna see them all! The clips are like a good ol' bag of potato chips, you can't have just one!:)
Anyone remember a live action music clip featuring some ladies playing some country music with instruments like kazoos, a washboard and water-jugs? They had a good groove going on there- somewhat bluegrass/hoedown/country music...whatever it was but it was great! I would think this clip came out...
His voice wasn't bad at all...
Northern Calloway's (David) voice that is. I remember him singing "What's the name of that song" and he did a pretty good job of it. I love the way he sang "I'm pretty" and "Who you lookin' at Tiger". Oh man I'm gonna get sentimental now!
Alaina Reed's...
That was a good song that Will Lee sang, I forgot about it until you brought it up. I remember one time Bob and Olivia (Alaina) sang a song about names, that song was perfect with their vocals. I called it the "Name Song", where Olivia would sing peoples names in the chorus and Bob would chime...
There were quite a number of great vocalists (for lack of a better term) that passed on Sesame Street. I consider Olivia (Alaina Reed), Marilyn Sokol and Bob (Bob McGrath) to be some of the finest vocalists ever to be on Sesame Street.
Marilyn's voice is so versatile. I loved her performance on...
In spite of all the things that would have happened in Northern Calloway's life, I agree with you guys are saying; he is definitely one of my favorite characters and he is sorely missed.
Thank you very much
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this plumber clip, thank you very much jeffkjoe, talk about deja-vu! I felt the 70's when I saw it, what a trip down memory lane!
My memory is extremely vague on this clip, not sure if its the Electric Company or Sesame Street but it was an animated clip featuring a bird (?) and a guy- not sure who said this part but the catch phrase was: "Its the plumber who's come to fix the sink"...please tell me that I didn't imagine...
Ernie counts sheep, fire engines and balloon
That personally is one of the best Ernie and Bert clips. The funniest thing is hearing Bert screaming. Frank Oz is a brilliant muppeteer.
You gotta love David in this clip!
Oh man, this is Northern Calloway at his finest! This is by far one of the funniest clips ever from Sesame Street. Memorable quotes from this clips are: "Imagine On Baby"
"I know who a square is"
"Can rectangles go up to down instead of sideways to sideways?"...
I tried looking all over youtube for this obscure and eerie clip with all sorts of search terms but I guess no one has uploaded it as yet. Wait a minute, your user name looks familiar...you've posted quite a few clips on youtube haven't you? If so, its a pity that you don't have that "apple...
I Remember that one1
I totally forgot about that "I'm me" skit, I must have been a kid the last time I saw that. There's another animated clip that scared me, its on youtube and it depicted a blond girl close to the screen asking: "You wanna see a scary looking thing"- she then shuffles close...
