Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Anyone hear about this? I didn't see a thread started so I figure I make one. I heard it's going to be called "Winter's Discontent". I can't wait to see this as well as the new Muppet movie. :) I heard it was announced at Cannes Film Festival.
I noticed a little error. Eight Balls of Fur is under Sesame 1990s, but isn't it from 1989?
Also a suggestion, perhaps you could have special weekend line ups like on radio stations. For example Classic Sesame Street weekend. Something like that. Almost like how during Christmas time, there...
Is the release going to have the film fest, deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage at all? I've read some reviews on Amazon but it must be rumors because it's not even released yet. Personally I don't like the cover. Why they can't just have the original movie poster as the cover, I don't...
How many sketches did they do? I got to see more of them. I remember Charlie the unseen cook. And I was always fascinated with that door and how well the window was painted and how the door was crafted.
Did anyone mention the airport one where Grover is trying to educate Mr. Johnson about how...
That's my favorite. Wasn't it originally made for the "Put Down The Duckie" prime time special before it made in regular Sesame Street episodes? I think the gutiar player's name was Manono or something like that. He was performed by Marty Robinson.
I'm really excited to see Louise Gold revive her role as Annie Sue Pig again. I love Annie Sue, she was such a cute character and felt so bad for Miss Piggy bullying her through out Season 3. lol Plus I love her characters on The Muppet Show and even her performance of The Queen on Spitting Image.
Anyway, it doesn't really seem like Gonzo is being phased out right now. He seems to still be there. However if anyone, I would have to say Rizzo the Rat who's a little more rare now a days. Last time I seen him was the WWE special which I think was great and one of my favorite Rizzo moments :)...
Personally I thought this clip was creepier when The Count puts the curse on Ernie and Bert. Well I'm glad they all got along later, even though Ernie couldn't get any sleep. lol
Oh yeah totally. My personal favorites are Meet The Feebles and Puppets Who Kill myself. I'm renting Season 2 disk 2 using Netflix, the show really cracks me up. But when I was a kid, I was sort of against rude puppets doing quite adult things but now I love it. I think when I became an adult, I...
I don't recognize this character nor does he have The Jim Henson Company style. The seller says that he was used in a project that was never fully completed as well as some live performances. Just curious if this is a true character from possibly a Henson Alternative production or if it's a...
Oh yeah like phobias. I think there's a fear of puppets phobia too. You know, I actually contacted a mental hospital seeing if there's a way that I can be a paid volunteer to help people get over that fear. Seriously, I think it was a good deed I thought of possibly doing and of course, nobody...
I was just curious since there has been a long history within the huge cast of background Monsters, Frackles, and Koosebanians. Looking back at Muppets Tonight, sometimes they used Muppets that dated back as old as The Muppet Show days. So I was just curious which Muppet is the oldest one still...
Hmm, must be a Halloween party? :)
I had to look up what "haters gonna hate" meant. I sure don't know my memes.
The thing that disturbs me about those cheap mascots is all of them are wearing money bags. It's a good thing I don't see that at Disney World or Six Flags.
ZOMBIE ELMO! RUUUN!
It's it interesting, how much a difference in the eyes can appear really scary. Someone did a photoshoped Elmo with smaller pupils and it ended up as an extra in Muppet Monster Adventure for Playstation. There was a contest for Muppet Monster Gallery which in the...
The video won't play without a request. I wonder if it's that weird Sesame Street Murder mystery play thing I remember reading about somewhere. It was held at some fire station by some small theater company. I think they were mixing Sesame and The Muppet Show characters together making some...
You know one of the things that I've noticed was Jim was ahead of his time with a lot of things. Sure The Dark Crystal and Labrynth were'd box office successes from what I've heard but if you look today, especially Labrynth there's not only a strong cult following but there's so much...
I can totally relate. I too was self taught from what I've seen in Jim's work as I became a puppeteer. Though I believe for about a year I didn't have any puppets so I learned from my hands first and my first puppets where Muppet puppets, and then I built my first puppets out of paper before I...
