does anyone remeber these EARLY sesame street episodes?

:) Yeah, that's you and me all right. Minus Beautiful Day Monster.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

You're welcome a zillion times over, Son of Enik. It's nice when you find someone who understands, innit? I'm so glad I made you feel better! You made me feel better, too. I absolutely understand the Sammy nightmares, as I had them, also. I remember each one vividly, even though I dreamt them...

does anyone remeber these EARLY sesame street episodes?

Hey Jyll, Here's the link (in Hebrew) to the Ernie and Bert Icecube clip if you're interested in seeing it. Sometimes, even though I can't understand what they're saying, it's fun to see the clips anyway. http://youtube.com/watch?v=rJ7qymz8XXA For a while, YouTube had the clip with...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Son of Enik (big hug), :) You are very welcome. You are far from being alone. Several years ago, I was on a now defunct posting board. On the board, we had a whole thread about Sammy and people who were afraid of him as children. I remember one girl posted that when he came on, she'd run out of...

does anyone remeber these EARLY sesame street episodes?

Hey, Jyll! Yes, I remember all of them except the girl with the magic glasses. I think I remember one with a boy and his magic glasses and an Ernie and Bert clip with magic glasses. I too, would love to see some of these clips, especially the Boy, the Girl, and the Jellybeans and the...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Actually, I remember it wasn't the "word" GROW, it was the capital letter G that grew and made a horrible croaking sound. I think the sound effects and the exploding at the end were edited out in later episodes. I recall seeing this on YouTube, and I think the sound effect was replaced with a...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Okay, since I’m an “old school-er”, these ones are all from the 70s. :) 1. Sammy the Snake (the one who looked and sounded like the letter “S”.) I still have a hard time watching Sammy. :) 2. The cartoon of the snake that talked about the “sound of the letter S”. You could only see his face...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I don't know why that "W" clip scared me. I think because the set was dark and creepy...and the "W" was a bad guy. I once had a nightmare when I was about five that the W was chasing me! :) It was all over for me after that. But now I love the clip.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I heard the Zizzy Zoomers clip is featured on the DVD "All Star Alphabet". Another clip that scared me (that used to be on YT), that is on this DVD is the "Dragnet W" sketch.

    Rosewood

I know this isn't the appropriate place to post this, but the reason why I am posting here is because I'm not sure how many of you visit the Friends and Family forum. Anyway, I just received an email from Rosewood's husband. Rosewood (Rosejane) passed away this past Sunday. I am saddened and...

Ideas for new word family skits

In addition, you just GOTTA bring back the girl AM and her brother in for a retro remake of one of the original versions of the word family clip. I loved how the girl would whip her ponytail around her head like a helicopter. Tee hee. :)

The boy, the girl, and the jellybeans

I could be wrong, but the way I remember it is Beautiful Day played the monster on the televised version and Herry played the illustrated version of the monster in the compilation book version of it.

    Classic SS Clips for download

I had problems getting into the site at first, too, but I tried back at a later time and it finally let me in. Hmmmm. Anyhoo, thank you. It's been years since I've seen the four eyes sketch....and I think I only saw it once. Even though the regular Beautiful Day Monster came THIS close to...

Sesame Street actors on Film or Other Tv shows

I know this is a stretch, since neither of these actors have been on Sesame Street in the past zillion years, but who could forget the late Raul Julia (Raphael) who has been in many films---one of his last roles as Gomez Addams in the Addams Family movies from the 90s....... And Charlotte Rae...

Do you ever feel ashamed for liking Sesame Street?

I watched Sesame Street regularly until I was around nine years old without feeling "weird" about it. After that age, I would wait until someone was out of the room and turn the volume of the tv up so very softly so that it could hardly be heard. As soon as someone walked in, I would quickly and...
