    Baby eating a cookie

Oh yeah! I loved this one, too. I always wondered what kind of cookie that was that would make such an incredible mess! A Girl Scout Thin Mint, perhaps? I always felt a little sorry for Cookie Monster, too. I wish he could have gotten a cookie out of the deal! :)

    Favorite Human CastMembers

I always loved Bob the best. He was so handsome and kind, and I loved his smile. Even as a wee one, he had my heart. And who could resist a man who wears such nifty sweaters? :flirt:

Are there any others with disabilities here?

Well, if you let us know when your birthday is, I'll make sure that both fuzzygobo and I bend our rule of only posting once a year so we can stop by and wish you a happy birthday, too. :)

"my List Of The Hippest Muppets"

I like the guy from Sesame Street (circa mid-70s) who discusses shapes with the "square" guy (who has a nose that looks like a football). Now that guy (not football nose, but the other one) was a hep cat!

Does anybody think you're weird for watching Sesame Street?

No, because anyone who knows me knows that I've been a huge Muppet and Sesame fan since I was a kid. There was a time when I felt embarrased by people's reactions, around the time I was in my late childhood years. But once I became a teenager and found a friend who secretly loved Sesame as much...

Are there any others with disabilities here?

Man, I so understand. You are an amazing person, Xerus. I'm proud of all challenges you've overcome in life and became one of the sweetest and most real people I know.

Are there any others with disabilities here?

Zowie! You have an excellent memory, Ziffel. Especially considering the fact that neither fuzzygobo nor I post on here that often. We actually met on another site, but we both came to know each other through our love of Muppets and all things Sesame. And you're right. It's wonderful meeting...

    Sesame crushes

Absolutely! I had a huge crush on Bob when I was a small girl. I thought he was so handsome and sensitive, with a glorious voice too.

    Sesame Workshop launches video.sesameworkshop.org

That's wonderful! I almost forgot about the "Beginning, Middle, and End" clip from so long ago. It was also nice to see the "Fairy Godmother" clip in color! I hope they're able to post some more rare clips from yesteryear.

does anyone remember this early sesame street skit

The last time I saw this skit, I was very young....so it was some time in the 70s. And yes, I can verify that it definitely was Beautiful Day Monster who ate the Beatles record. I remember him exclaiming something like, "YUM! BEATLES!" as he consumed the 45.

    What Songs Make You Cry?

When I was a child, the "Lowercase N" song always made me cry. For sentimental reasons (as mentioned above), the Seasons song...."It's springtime..." and the tune from the E animation with the eagle and the Easter egg make me cry. Oh......yeah, almost forgot. "I Don't Want to Live on the...

What SST toys did YOU have as a kid?

I had (and still have) a stuffed Knickerbocker Grover that I got on my sixth birthday The albums "Monsters" and "Sing the Hit Songs", along with a "Monsters" 45 LP of the song "I Want a Monster to Be My Friend". The Ernie/Bert/Cookie Monster puppets (from the 70s) The finger puppets...

    Bob Appreciation Thread

Yeahhhh! You know what would be sweet? If someone who had Bob's email address would send him the link to this thread. I think that would warm his big huge Bobbolicious heart to read how much we love and appreciate him. :)

    Bob Appreciation Thread

By far, Bob is (and has always been) my favorite human being. He's gentle, kind, and when he smiles.....whoh.....he blew my little four-year-old heart away. :) Yes, I admit. Bob was my very first crush. I definitely wanted him to be a person in my neighborhood. :) When fuzzygobo got to see...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Yeah, isn't it wild to think that was shown on Sesame Street? And I remember seeing it several times, so it was in rotation for a while. I remember the first time I saw that, I completely went out of my mind in fear. It's great to see it again on YouTube (thanks for posting the link...

    Silly question.

I didn't sing "Rubber Duckie" over and over, but I DID have a rubber duckie. He looked nothing like Ernie's, though. :)

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Yep, I think your story definitely tops my story of when my mom, who was trying desperately to get me over my fear of Beautiful Day Monster, pretended to chain him up and flush him down the toilet. :) Too bad she didn't do that with Sammy the Snake.....although he'd probably done a nice job...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Well Mike, the way I see it is most people who have posted on this particular thread have fears. Actually, most people in general have fears. Fear is a healthy human reaction. The fears we’re talking about in this thread are derived from memories of Sesame Street, therefore, most people are...

does anyone remeber these EARLY sesame street episodes?

A lot of the skits that are mentioned in Muppet Wiki are also shown on YouTube. However, if there's not a link directly from the Wiki site, there's a chance that either the clip isn't on YouTube or it has been taken off. But if you're looking for a specific clip, you might want to double check...
