    Graphic Novels

I've loved comics since i was a kid. They always seemed like a great combination between tv and books - you could see the action and expressions on characters' faces as well as the enjoyment of reading. I always loved anthologies of my fave comic strips (which goes back to having all these...

"Wembley's Egg Surprise" on DVD February 9

Yeah, that was my thoughts on seeing the latest news - everything else was mega-meh but when i saw that bonus feature included that was a rather nifty sign that we may be seeing some kind of release of not only The Animal Show but hopefully some other various neglected properties being brought...

    Season 40 Hidden Gems

Classic character you wouldn't normally expect to see there (in a similar vein to using Biff and Sully as referenced in above post). By the way outside of the street scene, anyone notice how that tree puppet in Abby/Rosita/WTFZoe's Guess the Season song looked like a throwback to the "This is...

    SST Double Entendres

I loved the concept of Sarah Jessica Parker being given the word "sigh" as her celeb word of the day segement! Then when she comes back to do another one, she is given the task of demonstrating what a "pair" is! Also loved the irony of Vanessa Williams being cast as the "Queen of Trash" in...

    Season 40 Hidden Gems

This last one wasn't too hard since it was so oddly placed on the menu that it was kind of intrusive - it definately looked like something placed over the regular menu (like it was announcing a current special but you couldn't make out the words, just the picture) and cut into the regular...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 40

Yes. It looks like that's yet another type of segment originally done for international versions/spinoffs that's now being shown on the domestic show itself. Interesting that so far they've only used Cookie Monster ones as opposed to some of the others (but we'll probably see those too.)...

    Muppet Hairstyles

I think Piggy would probably end up taking top honors for best and worst hairstyles! But yeah, Janice's side ponytail came close to worst - i mean what were they thinking and why did it take ages to change it back? The band got a little bit of a makeover mid-80's and i guess they had a hard...

    Season 40 Hidden Gems

4190 - Wild Nature Survivor Guy Gem In the opening shot, Leela's tomato basket has "Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett" on the top of its logo. Don't have a hi-def tv so i couldn't make out the rest of the logo except for "Eco-Friendly" and i think the next words may have been packing...

    Beaker's language in the news

Of course, odd "dead-news-day-stories" like this does make one pause to wonder...given the horrors and pain Beaker frequently endures, how much of his language might actually consist of four-letter-words? How much of his Meeping would be cause for bleeping? Maybe those who thought he was...

Behold! The Worst Cartoon Show of all time

The thing about Spongebob is that there's such a shift in quality between pre-movie episodes and post-movie episodes. I would agree that despite the overexposure and marketing frenzy the original cartoons were up there with the classics (and Squidward is on my personal list of Best Cartoon...

    Beaker's language in the news

The solution: Replace "Meep" with "Mee" - after all "Meep" is pretty much a construct of Beaker represented in printed media - in actuality he rarely has a "p" on the end - it's usually a variation of "Meemeemee"...not only is it more Beaker-y but it would be a lot harder to ban "me" - English...
