I think they may also have served as a little bit of inspiration for Sesame Street's Oinker Sisters. (Yeah, i'm sure they were first supposed to be a take-off on the Pointer Sisters but they soon started to mimic the Andrews Sisters especially in Boogie Woogie Piggies.)

I don't know if that was deliberate or ever in anyone's mind at any point; it was more than likely something not thought about and named as such to carry the theme of "sequels" "#2", "twins", etc...but as a Muppet Freak *I* pick up on a detail like that even if no one else does!!

I love how they're not ashamed to flaunt the parallels between this film and GMC...i'm sure they'll be lots of little winks and nots to GMC for the hardcores to geek over. I love how the wanted poster uses a touched-up Bad Poser Kermit shot...those bad posers have long deserved to be on wanted...

I often get the TMBG version of Istanbul in my head. The original's great but TMBG just added so much to it. Song stuck in head today is David Bowie's Hallo Spaceboy

I also love Sax & Violence because once the music starts, all the comedy is purely physical with no dialogue and the artistry of the Muppeteers really shines - the expressions of both Zoot and Mahna throughout are what makes the piece. My other fave Zoot moment is also one where it's all...
