My vote goes to "Other (Share Your Title Below)" as I think THAT would be a great movie title!! Or maybe "Other (Share Your Muppet Below)"
But maybe they'll save that for the title of the next one - and if they get Cher to star in it they can call it "Other (Cher Your Muppet Below)"
It was at the very least a stepping stone - Gorch was a great experiment in puppet building trying at more realistic looking puppets (the taxidermy eyes was a big thing to Jim in terms of innovation) - that allowed the team to realize further possibilities in taking puppet building to the next...
Being how a large part of this question is "how did being on HBO affect the popularity of the series during its original run?", keep in mind that especially given that the show was created with an international audience in mind, that's a very USA-centric question. In most countries, the HBO...
The Muppets don't have anything to do with the shows leaving the air. A single guest star appearing on one episode will never be the basis of such a programming decision.
Shows like this usually air long enough to where they have enough episodes to where they can be repackaged for...
I don't see this as bad at all. Provided of course that they still maintain their free channel full of shorter clips. Remember The Jim Henson Company was one of the first to have a paid subscription YT channel - but of course that's been a pretty sweet deal given the variety of stuff available...
After the first week, i'm bouncing off the walls. Turns out I've had TWO wishes granted - not only to get the program back but also for it to become the show I've always wanted it to be even when it was on the air!
The reboot is even better than I was expecting (and my expectations were high)...

By itself, no. That's a point in the plus column but there's other important things to consider like are they a good cook (and if not are they a good eater), are they younger than the houses on your block and older than the latest version of Windows and where they stand on such important issues...
At least they used (a) actual stills from the show (b) REAL Muppets and not ugly posers (c) it's got Timmy!!! That means they're one up on the filmmakers of "The Muppets"
...If you're prone to random bouts of belting out "La la la - LINOLEUM!!!"
...If whenever you listen to "Disappointed" by Electronic, you hear Boober in the back of your head rattling off "Disappointed, perhaps...distressed...distraught..."
...If whenever someone asks you if you have any...
I didn't think i'd like the show as much as i have but the performers really do a great job of making the characters seem like real kids you might know yourself and you end up caring for them - much in the same way they succeeded in doing so on Sid the Science Kid.
