Where are all these classic Sesame Street episodes coming from?

A lot of episodes look like really awesome segments, and it looks like there are a number of ones that don't seem to feature very much as far as new or clever material. Glad that we were lucky to get shows like "the President is coming" or "Oscar's Brother Visits" rather than ones that may only...

I didn't either, at the time of taping them. But Ioved the show so much that even though it had dropped in quality since the 80s, it had enough of the older cast to keep me interested. Looking back on them, when uploading them to YouTube, they're not that bad

Of course, reading the synopsis, it doesn't look like Gordon was unhappy about her decision. I guess the proof will be in the actual footage

And from what I can recall, Susan --almost hesitantly -- asks Gordon for his approval to become a nurse. It was mentioned in at least one news article back in the day. Gordon apparently isn't too thrilled about it but relents. Susan ends up being really excited about it. Gordon turns to the...

Unearthing previously "lost" Sesame Street episodes

I love the old scenes on the street, which seemed to have a lot of ad libbing. They knew what the topic was to be about, and how it was supposed to resolve, but it seems like it was up to the actors to help provide the dialogue. But I could be wrong. If I am, then they did a good job making it...

VCRs were still pretty expensive in the 80s from what I recall. And most people who owned one probably didn't have taping Sesame Street in mind. Though some treasures were recorded, like those season 13 episodes that have been in the trading circles even pre-Noggin
