Let's see, has anybody mentioned the sequels to Air Bud? The 85 Air Buddies? Air Bud was a cute kids movie, anything after that is kind of overkill. Almost like Land Before Time. First one was ok, last 58 were kind of pushing it.

When I get a new Disney Diamond Edition DVD, that's come out on the same day as another Buddies movie, there is almost always a teaser trailer for the next one.

tangled oh my god is that terrible
Really? That's a shame cause I REALLY like Zachary Levi. I thought Chuck was one of the most underrated shows there was. I heard it was a good movie, but that's what I heard.

We have an entire thread on that, yes...

Also of note, I mentioned the Beverly Hills Chihuahua movies also... just as bad, and the remnants of a terrible fad that left so many abused animals to shelters where they usually ended up mercy killed.

Oh, and ANOTHER Madagascar sequel? Really?
The studio is planning to make that exactly like Shrek, giving them 4 movies (yes.... there's one more, but they swear they'll have the animals make it home that time), and a spinoff (in this case, Penguins).

I wasn't going to see it since, while I liked the second, it didn't wow me as much as the first one did (I have no idea why it did, actually)... but I figured I might as well since I do like the franchise for some reason.

I hate to double post, but I just remembered on that was maddening.

Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li

Now, the reasoning behind making this movie makes no sense. Sure, Capcom is riding a huge tidal wave of nostalgic popularity of the Street Fighter video game series, seemingly at the expense of their other famous hit, Mega Man. But that only really happened a couple years ago, before the film was released. Secondly, it's not like the first one was a hit. It's not even enjoyable in an ironic way, and proved that video game based movies are 90% of the time insanely stupid and pointless (Tomb Raider got lucky... at least for the fact that Lara Croft actually LOOKED like Lara Croft). Thirdly, they cast a not Asian girl to play an Asian girl (how come there weren't cries of that until Avatar: The Last Airbender the movie?) Fourthly, it's in name only... fifthly, who was that even intended for because the fans of the video game would refuse to see it, and there are thousands of better kung fu/martial arts movies out there. And sixthly, it's apparently even worse than the terrible first Street Fighter movie that bombed and was only remembered by an irony loving internet.

Also of note... it seemed like this was supposed to be a series of terrible origin stories. Were they thinking this was going to be the next Resident Evil movie franchise? One that I don't understand either?

All just totally confusing. No wonder Nintendo refuses to let anyone make a movie based on their properties ever again. At least they learned their lesson from that Mario film.
