Even though it's already been a couple of years since the Fix-it-Shop was relocated from it's original suite in the tenament building on the street and replaced with Leela's laundromat, while at the same time Hooper's was modernized into a convenient store... I just now realized something... there's a VERY striking similarity here in my community...
For years, there was (and still is) a little strip of shops in the neighborhood, more specifically in the Hispanic part of the neighborhood; among the shops is a building that houses two businesses - one of which is a laundromat, and next door to that is a convenient store.
What a coincidence, eh?
