That'd be interesting, at least in the normal Ducktales/Darkwing universe. But if you're asking about Slackbot's wonderfully fleshed-out Negaverse, you're just asking for a showdown between Magica as a good witch and Nega-Morgana. batty:

I've been wondering, were Bushroot and Liquidators origins ever acknoledged after their debut episodes? Or did they treat them as if they were always in those forms?

I know that in Jail Bird they don't return back to their original forms when they lose their powers. But if they did return to their original forms, would they have been happier? I feel like Bushroot might have been happier to no longer be half-plant (then he wouldn't be an outcast). Then again, was it ever said in Beauty and the Beet that Bushroot COULDN'T get back to normal?

Well today I picked up the graphic novel collection of the first four issues, and it is such a great read. It felt like a Darkwing Duck movie to me. I liked the scene where we are teased into expecting Steelbeak to show up (though at that point I mistakenly turned two pages at once and got confused). I wonder if James Silvania got the same artistic freedom as the artists of the Muppet comics, because the characters here look on-model to me.

I previously read about how Negaduck learned Darkwing's identity, and at first while reading I was surprised that Megavolt still didn't know that Darkwing and Drake are one and the same. But it made sense after reading the scene where Negaduck reveals that he knows Darkwing's secret identity but refused to reveal it to the others so he can single-handedly destroy Daarkwing. Though I still find it odd that he didn't reveal it to the public-at-large.

I don't really get what the big deal was with Honker getting arrested for downloading music. It seems like it'd be out of character for Honker to illegally download music, even out of ignorance. And for the most part Honker seems pretty useless in this story.

I liked the cutting back-and-fourth between the past and present in this. I think it did have a bit too many DuckTales cameos, especially since Launchpad and Gizmoduck were the only characters from that series to appear on Darkwing Duck. I'm pretty sure that other DuckTales characters never even made one-time guest appearances.

I'm also confused about whether Megavolt lost his electric powers. He didn't seem to use them at first, but has no trouble using them after beign reunited with the other villians. I also noticed that a toy store in this issue is called "Clint Wacky's", a reference to the replacement comedian from "On the Road Part 2".

After all the build-up to Negaduck, it's a shame he wasn't invovled more in the present. I know that his appearance at the end is meant to lead to the second storyarc. I haven't read any of the second storyarc, but I hope that in this current one something happens to have him and Quackerjack basically "make up" (as much as "making up" as Negaduck would tolerate, which I'm sure wouldn't be much) and leadd the Fearsoem Five again, and also for something to happen to make him forget Darkwing's alternate identity.

I like these comics, indeed I do. After a while I looked forward to them more than the Muppet Show since, well, Darkwing's not going to get a movie at the end of this year (he should). But I admit, they are tackling a bit much in their 4 part miniseries.

Negaduck is not involved in the first plot because he's really involved in the second storyline with Magica DeSpell.

With the first issue, they were trying to establish what happened to the Fearsome Five, what happened to Darkwing, and of course what happened to Taurus Bulba. Currently, while dealing with multiple inter-dimensional Darkwings Paddywhack shows up end of part 3, and will no doubt be prominent in the last segment. I will say, I hope Darkwarrior escapes and comes back later, since there's just so much more potential there.

I'm also loving the Rescue Rangers comics so far... though I will say a reference to the Capcom video game at the beginning and the addition of Foxglove is borderline fan fic. They pull it off much better than that, of course...

I found my copy at Books-A-Million and it was the only copy. Actually it seems my local Books-A-Million doesn't carry many Boom! titles. I think I also saw a Toy Story trade paperback there and that's about it; No Boom! comics in the comic book section, no Muppet trade paperbacks (I wonder why they're called "trade paperbacks" when comic books are usually paperback)...

Well my Hastings used to sell all the BOOM comics and now all they sell is Muppets Shows and the Snow White, Sherlock and others, Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge. They used to sell the Mickey Mouse & Friends and then they stopped. I really wanted the 300 issue of that. I just hope they start selling the Chip and Dale ones.

I got my Darkwing Duck graphic novel in the mail today and I really liked it. Seeing all the characters I enjoyed watching back in the 90's together again, plus all the surprise characters that kept showing up. And I liked Quackerjack's new and improved Mr. Banana Brain. And I liked the story at the end where Tad Stones tells us about how Darkwing was created. I can't wait till I get the next volume.

Seems James is still hiding some Muppet references in the Darkwing comics. In the last issue, one of the alternate Darkwings has a green mask and Kermit eyes.

There's a LOT of great alternate Darkwings in that one, actually.
