Yesterday my parents had a cookout. Dad grilled salmon for himself and Mom, and, for me, a vegan sausage I'd never tried but that was said to be great. When the sausage was ready, I had trouble cutting it. I got a sharp knife, but it was still hard to cut off a piece. I thought it tasted terrible and had the world's toughest casing. Then I realized I was eating the plastic wrap it came in! Dad had not only failed to notice the metal ties at the ends, but had put the sausage on the grill without reading the instructions, which said to remove the plastic before cooking. I have no idea why the sausages were individually wrapped, by the way. I mean, the cardboard container was already covered with plastic wrap! The whole thing was so ridiculous, I just started cracking up. Anyway, once I got the stuff off, the sausage tasted fine. And as my friend pointed out, I started to eat plastic and lived to tell the tale.
