It's too warm to be wearing sweatpants right now. High today was 95. No way I'm wearing those things right now.
Heh-heh yeah.

I don't even wear them unless the highs are in the 60s or lower, otherwise it's too warm for them.

And in case you're wondering "Then why the Elmo did you bring this up then?" Well, it's time to start shopping for fall apparel anyway!

But yeah, don't wear sweatpants once the high hits 70. Just like don't wear sweaters or long-sleeved shirts once the high hits 60. And don't wear jackets or coats once the high hits 40.

I haven't worn shorts in years. I think my legs are too short, stubby and ugly to be "out in the open" so to speak. It makes me feel fat *sniff* Plus, I'm pale as a ghost!

Anyway, unless they're covered in stains and holes, and you're not going to some important event, what's the problem?

When I was in college, quite often I would see people coming to class like they'd just rolled out of bed and stuck their hair up in a ponytail - and that's it. I think that's kinda worse than sweatpants  And I won't even get into what I've seen people wear when dragged to a Wal-Mart (I hate Wal-Mart XD). Hair curlers, spandex *shudder*
For some of us in small towns Wal-Mart is all we have :sympathy:

In Germany, where I now live, I actually had to get used to not wearing sweatpants in public at all. Here, they are considered rather like sleeping gear. Today, thirteen years after moving here, I only wear them at home on really cold days, and if I leave the house, I will change into pants, skirts or even a dress to go out.

I don't think that they are necessarily bad things to wear, as I used to wear them all the time when I was in high school and at the university, but today, I very rarely wear them. I do give points to them for comfort, though.

Then the next thing you know people are going to start running around in their undies in public, then I don't believe I'll have to mention how it will go on from there...

Things go earlier and ealier (Daylight Saving time changes; the time schools start/end; the rate at which seasons, time, and life in general pass people by; etc.).
