Good news: Friday's episode came on this morning for my station. I guess the episodes were mixed up.

As I thought I would, I liked the art school segment.

Something that bugs me about the Murray Has a Little Lamb segments... Aren't the "schools" they visit more like classes or after school activities? It's not really a huge deal, but couldn't they just call it what it is?

Well, there are specialized schools for cooking, karate, and the arts--and in New York City, some of those schools probably offer classes for kids. I'd give Sesame Workshop the benefit of the doubt here, myself.

Agreed. For after all, they're just trying to make the audience feel involved without dumbing down their IQ any. XD

My thoughts on Friday's episode:

The Goods:
-Liked the story. It was kind of short though. It was nice to see Wolfgang again. Cookie's appearence was pretty funny. And I loved seeing Mr. Johnson on the street. I hope we see some segments with him and Grover this year.
-Mr. Johnson better buy some non-dancing under-drawers.
-What song was Wolfgang playing? I heard some of Beethoven's 5th at one point.
-Heh, the claymation bit was kind of funny
-I never knew the difference between the gloceshpiel and xylophone. Thanks Randy and Muppet Collie!
-While I'm not a fan of those Cab Callomouse cartoons (most of them go on too long), it was still nice to see one again.
-Being an artist (or cartoonist in my case), I liked the Murray bit, especially when they were at the pizza place.
-Huh? The Elmo and Abby sketch was new, but it wasn't in widescreen. How odd.

The Bads:
-Eh, I didn't like the reused Pam/pizza film.
-While I like the "Rub Your Tummy" bit, I'd prefer we'd see a different E&B sketch. Same goes for the Hoots/John Legend song.

Yeah. I thought about that too. They should probably call the places they go 'classes' or 'activities' rather than saying school all the time. It kind of gets redundant and repetitive too.

Before we semantic the thread to death, let me assure you that often times these classes are held at schools. Especially of note, the art class. That was definately at some art school (if anyone here goes to art school in New York, maybe they could tell which one it is)... they had that pottery wheel and everything. Wouldn;'t be surprised if Cooking class was a culinary institute.

In NY, many jobs have specific classes devoted to them.

Okay, I didn't know that about the special schools. I'm a southern country girl from the middle of nowhere, so I wasn't aware of that.

Sesame Street has taught me something. XD
