Oh how funny. I just knew Rizzo would walk in during the elevator sketch, and Kermit's little trick was funny too. I LOVE THIS SITE!

Kermit completely fooled me. I was about to come back disappointed and be all "THIS CLIP'S NOT NEW I SAW IT LAST WEEK".

Dave, Steve, Bill and Eric as someone said are absolute magic.
The chemistry and humor in these muppets.com videos are top notch in my view...and if this is any preview indication of a weekly prime time show in the future, then we're in good hands.

Also as others said, they gotta get the Muppets out there in the real world more or interacting with celebrities(caught off guard as well)

I'd love to see a new Muppet prime time show with a segment where Kermit and Gonzo, or Pepe and Rizzo or whomever go out and interview people on the street, or celebrities, etc. Have it all be on the fly improv. The Muppets have been doing this now since 2005 with "From the Balcony", and continuing with Murray Muppet on Sesame Street, Del Castle on Del's Comedy Binge and now with Muppets.com

I believe there's a lot of people out there willing to accept the Muppets as viable and current, and not in a mere nostalgic light as some believe most see them as. Especially with the right spot on writing, improv chemistry, etc something new and magnificent may just be around the corner

As far as kids these days...well yeah I guess myself growing up
in the age of Muppet Show reruns/Muppet Babies/Fraggle Rock/80's Sesame/Fraggle Animated is a lot different than
today...where you have ADD substance-less cheap Hanna Barbara knock off cartoons on cartoon network/Nickelodeon, and then the competition of shows like South Park and Family Guy.
I kind of miss the innocent days, heh

I really love Pepe more and more every time I see him!
As does my sister who's 19, kids really like him.
We both really loved the grammy's or is that grannies? clips.
I'm sure my mom would like this as well if I showed her the site.
My entire family are big Muppet fans, even my recently departed grandpa lord rest his soul.
Mom told me how he and my grandma would watch the Muppet Show every week and how he'd just laugh his head off.

beaker i agree with you that its different. I beleave that the muppets are good wholesome entertainment and to understnd it you have to have high morals. This is evident in Jim Hensons quote

Sometimes i like to go to my garden and pray.

It just seems rooted in God and thats what is missing on Tv these days.

the muppets aren't rooted in God. Aside from the john Denver stuff they did, the muppets aren't heavy on religion stuff. They are about being entertaining and clever without being vulgar. You don't have to believe in God to have morals.

I second that.

The Muppets were designed with certain abstract elements that connect with viewers from all walks of life.

Religious folk see Christmas holiday programs and a reverence from the characters referencing something larger than them. Others see their connection to nature and the environment. Minorities see the many colors and species mingling, and a gay person like me grows up seeing a lovable and unique character like Gonzo and sees tolerance and acceptance. In many ways the Muppets can be a Rorschach test with no real right or wrong answers to how they are perceived.

Writers, creators and performers have come from many backgrounds. I agree with singling just out one over the others. The Muppets indefinable inclusive nature is what makes them special. It isn’t that modern programming suffers from a lack of morality in comparison to the Muppets. I believe that many shows these days are made to be overly defined and polarizing in order to be packaged and sold to a specific market. The Muppets transcend that. That’s partly why they are such a difficult sell in today’s entertainment marketplace.
