Like Amy said awhile back when the prototypes where shown before presale. MR is working with Disney right now getting this right. So why are we so worried right now? We still have around six months to go before seeing the final product.
It takes 6-9 months (sometimes longer) to manufacture and distribute a product such as this. That's likely why the concerns are being voiced now. This is the real crunch-time where changes can actually be made. To be honest, I'm not certain if that time hasn't already passed.

Most of these criticisms aren't intended to be thoughtless. In fact, the ones I have read are voicing concerns because consumers want this product, but will not likely purchase him as is. It's alright to let forum members voice their concerns. We are all equal here.

Like I said, I sure miss the days when Travis use to come on here and hear our comcerns and he listened. He also use to give us updates when they made the changes. (sigh)the good ole days.

We are worried because they HAVEN'T figured it out yet. If you pre-ordered right now for ap roduct that looks like crap and the only thing you know for sure is "they are working on it" you'd worry too. This is why I refuse to pre-order for this kind of thing. I'd rather wait and see how the final product looks. I mean, really, do you think that the company is going to say the final product will look awful?
I know we disagree on Animal's eyes, but we are completely in sync on Gonzo. I will not pre-order based on the pictures and protos we have seen. And if they do not solve the nose problem to my satisfaction, I won't buy Gonzo. I'll just wait for Fozzie, who shouldn't have the same type of problems... except that he has the same plastic tongue that Animal has... but Terry's prototype's mouth closes. And that may be because Fozzie's mouth is built different than any other Muppet.

I know it would be greatly appreciated if MR would be a little more involved concerning updates. Even if there was no news, it's better to hear that there isn't any news straight from them. There's been quite a bit of confusion about their products (Animal's articulation, absent accessories, Gonzo's nose material, etc) that could be easily cleared-up with regular updates. Their newsletters are few and far between. :sympathy:

 However, it is daunting to post amid ravenous fans. I just feel that the photographs on their site (even of the current Kermit) along with the vague information is doing this great product they make a disservice. I hope all of their characters will look good, sell well and become a hit in collectibles! I think that is possible, but made more difficult with the current customer service and advertising structure. But of course, that's easy for me to say. :stick_out_tongue:

Oh if the only Kermit pics i saw were the official ones I'd never have bought one. They should set up some kind of fan gallery for their muppet products. Let the fans do the work and they can just pick the best ones.

You are officially drinking the MR Kool-Aid. Giving MR your money, when they currently have a lackluster product, removes any and all motivation they have to better the product. Period. You must be getting commission from them is all I can figure.

NOW to be fair, you've stated multiple times that you were happy with the product as seen at Comic-Con, etc. You were excited at the pictures they gave us, so it makes sense that you gave them your money.

Some of us here aren't, and we're trying to rally up enough noise to get MR to reconsider. "We" are worried that people like you are readily handing over your cash, eliminating the possibility of change.

You are clearly excited because gonzo is your favorite. I am clearly upset because gonzo is my favorite, and I would hate for my collection to be missing him because I'm embarrassed to display it. Right now my Giant Gonzo Pez is a better likeness.

Basically, they are ALL my favorite. I think I have been pretty possitive about them all. I think I said how I felt about them otherwise. To me, it really doesn't make any difference what they do. You would think the thought of there fans means more than anything else. For all we know, they could have not made any of them. I know we all have our own opinion and pictures just do not do justice if you do not have someone that knows how to pose a Muppet right. We also know that there never will be a right or perfect Muppet poser made in anybodies eyes. It's just how it is and there will never be no level of satisfaction in any of this, which is really sad.

Do you not realise though, that as Chequepoint said, handing over your money on the basis of seeing a poor prototype with only the vague promise they are "working on it" and nobody, not even the customer service person who only gives vague answers, having to tell the people pre-ordering what it is they will end up with, actually gives them LESS reason to change things and get it right. If the fans make enough noise and make clear its not good enough they might think the difference in sales is worth finding a better solution, if everyone walks around with their eyes shut saying anything is great then there's no point. You say there will never be a perfect poser, but you saw the original prototype - proof they can do heaps better than this!

I think in terms of terms of released product they have done an ok job, in terms of customer awareness and communication they are awful. To remove the Animal accessories from the site after people had pre-ordered and saying nothing about it is very poor. How can they be trusted when we pre-order Fozzie he really will arrive with a hat? I've seen them say they might not release prototype pics anymore, thats rubbish because then they'd hardly get any pre-orders. They need to be clear about what they are showing, that it reflects the actual product to some degree, and explain it.

Let me say this-Do you think a company would ruin it's reputation by releasing products that doesnt meet customer's expectations? Secondly, the reason MR are hesitant about releasing photos is because some of us over critize and get nasty.Sure some constructive advise is helpful but some are slandering the company that are doing there best to make these items.Thirdly, pre orders are gauges as to how well a product will sell.Waiting to see a product could jepodise it and dont forget that MR dont charge till shipping and that you can simply cancel the order if you dont like the final result.
