I remember that special! I think I may even have it on tape somewhere, I'd have to look for it.
I think I saw it on the Disney Channel originally. It's funny how as a kid you don't notice when a show is trying to be funny. You just take it all seriously, lol.

They need to bring back Raggedy Ann, she was a good role model.

Every year this one older neighborhood of millionare's mansions in my town goes totally all out and decorates all the houses really cool. One house will do something like "Frankenstien's laboratory" and have a big table with a fake person on it with bowls and jars of organs and other very realistic things, another one always does a big interactive play or scene - one year they reinacted "Psycho", another they held a "Vampire Convention" where everyone dressed as a vampire got to go in and join the party. Another house always does a casino theme, where you can bet your candy in games of poker and other games. It gets like, a thousand trick-or-treaters every year. It's super cool, I'll post pics if I go this year.
Wow that's amazing! I have a neighbor who goes all out but I'll have to wait till Christmas to talk about it.

My husband and I will probably settle in, answer the door for trick or treaters (every year here it gets bigger and bigger), light some candles, and watch my favorite Halloween Movies 'Hocus Pocus' and 'Halloween with Heffalump' on DVD.

I figured that since the weekend will be stressful, then it would be wise for me to do some serious relaxing. I'm really excited about the idea of being home this year. For the last two years, I have been away on Halloween, and that was sort of a bum deal.
Does Germany do any big parties for Halloween? My ma lived there in the 70's and early 80's and said there were always fireworks for everything but she never said anything about Halloween...

The one and only halloween special that i couldn't get enough of was "Garfild's Halloween Adventure." I waited year long for that to come on. I just couldn't wait. My mom told me that i would bug her about when it was coming on. Even before october. But i was looking around last night on Youtube and forgot all about this special.

Ok i've been thinking of alot of older Halloween Specials or just halloween cartoons all night. Now i remember one either a TBS or TNT special that came on back in the late 90's (i think) where it's live action but it has four or five little computer animation characters. It's has something to do with an old candy factory where someone trying to either close it down or do something with it. But i can't seem to remember the name at all. Can someone help me please!
I forgot the name of it, but I remember it well. Three CGI aliens, one was voiced by the late Don Messick (Scooby Doo/ Boo Boo Bear/Hampton Pig), and they needed Candy for their planet Mars (Mars, of course... because this was sponsored by M&M/Mars, and was actually based loosely off a commercial comic promotion). It was also produced by Hanna Barbera (there was a kid wearing a Fred Flintstone mask).

I have it on tape, but I haven't watched it in years, cuz I grew to dislike it.

Halloween Treat! I watched that a lot as a kid. Too bad Disney is all about Miley Cyrus now and doesn't air stuff like that anymore.

You know, the old man from the Garfield special always gave me the creeps. He still does!

No one does stuff like that anymore. And it is all about pablum. And that's a great deal scarier than Halloween, and a great deal more depressing than a Christmas alone.

I can't believe it! Thanks to garbage like Dancing with The Stars, Pushing Daisies, Wife Swap, and Ugly Betty, ABC isn't playing It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! AT ALL this year! At least not on my ABC affiliate! That's NEVER happened! For the past nineteen years (that I remember), Great Pumpkin was ALWAYS broadcasted on TV during the month of October!

Pooh jinxed it!

It's playing in my area as far as I know. That's a shame that it's not playing everywhere.

But no one jinxed it. :attitude:
