CHAPTER 3

After Beth and Nate had left Marty took charge. "Snowthy. You go to interview Bill in jail. Ask him if he can think of anybody who may have held some sort of grudge against him to do this in order to frame him. Or see if he can give us any clue that might help to piece together an alibi for him."
"What if our investigation proves to reveal that he is guilty Marty?" asked Snowthy. "Don't get me wrong. I want to believe his innocence. But on the offchance he did go bad?"
Marty frowned for a moment then said solemnly, "If he is guilty he must pay the penalty naturally. But at the moment I am inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, if he would have committed his robbery in such a manner as to draw obvious attention to himself like that he would have to be crazy."
"Yeah. That's a valid point." Snowthy had to admit that was true.

So while Snowthy went off to meet with Bill Marty dialled the number of their loyal informer Ziffel.
Ziffel answered with the identification code. "You've reached me. I hope you didn't get ziffeled".
"No. We made it with a muffin", replied Marty. Marty explained their new case and Ziffel told him where he and Kendra could meet him for a very hot tip and Marty said they would be on their way immediately.
So he and Kendra grabbed their coats and set off to meet Ziffel outside the old run-down hotel on Hunt Street.

I don't know how I missed the beginning of this but it's great Marty! Surely not Bill! He wouldn't do something like that to Beth and Nate now would he?
You build alot of suspense with these mysteries, I cannot wait to read more!

CHAPTER 4

As Marty and Kendra made their way to Hunt Street they had to pass through an old alley-way. Suddenly Marty cried "Look out!" He seized Kendra's arm and jerked her over to the side as a trash-can came rolling along in their direction followed by several others. They all crashed into the wooden fence of the alley.
"What's going on?" Kendra cried.
"Oops. Sowwy. I didn't wealize you were there".
Marty and Kendra saw a huge muppet step out of the shadows.
"It's Junior Gorg. What exactly are you doing?" Marty demanded to know.
"I didn't mean any harm." Junior hung his head. "I was only playing a little game."
"By yourself?" Kendra enquired.
"No. With my bwand new fwiends."
Before the Detectives could ask what Junior meant by that Oscar and several other grouches are wriggled out of the trash cans, some of them covered with dishevelled trash.
"Wow. I never had so much fun in all my life." Oscar wobbled a bit with dizziness.
"Let's go again this time two of us inside each can." said one of the other grouches.
Junior Gorg was delightfully happy as the grouches wanted to let him play roll the cans with them all day long.
Marty and Kendra looked at each other and shrugged smiling. Muppets were so funny sometimes. After cautioning them to keep a close eye out in case of people walking through from now on they left the grouches and the gorg to their wacky amusement and finished the walk to the Hunt Street hotel to see what Ziffel had to tell them.
