CHAPTER 3
After Beth and Nate had left Marty took charge. "Snowthy. You go to interview Bill in jail. Ask him if he can think of anybody who may have held some sort of grudge against him to do this in order to frame him. Or see if he can give us any clue that might help to piece together an alibi for him."
"What if our investigation proves to reveal that he is guilty Marty?" asked Snowthy. "Don't get me wrong. I want to believe his innocence. But on the offchance he did go bad?"
Marty frowned for a moment then said solemnly, "If he is guilty he must pay the penalty naturally. But at the moment I am inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, if he would have committed his robbery in such a manner as to draw obvious attention to himself like that he would have to be crazy."
"Yeah. That's a valid point." Snowthy had to admit that was true.
So while Snowthy went off to meet with Bill Marty dialled the number of their loyal informer Ziffel.
Ziffel answered with the identification code. "You've reached me. I hope you didn't get ziffeled".
"No. We made it with a muffin", replied Marty. Marty explained their new case and Ziffel told him where he and Kendra could meet him for a very hot tip and Marty said they would be on their way immediately.
So he and Kendra grabbed their coats and set off to meet Ziffel outside the old run-down hotel on Hunt Street.
