I'm also wondering if WP's student newspaper is going to have a reporter assigned to this; if it's so, I wonder what the article's going to look like? "Muppet freaks turn out in droves for SS event."
Hehe, yes I do wonder if a sarcastic approach might be taken, lol.

One question, and no one has to respond if it's not convenient. Would anyone on here who has the Muppet Cast Richard DVD be able to bring it to the event to borrow? I'd definitely mail it back. Like I said, no problem if no one's comfortable doing that.

Yeah, some college reporters are clearly in the sarcastic category - all that dealing with the administration and the PR people. Others (like me) begin as the idealistic I-can-change-the-world-types, but it often wears off after a while.

And heralde, I'd be glad to bring along my copy. Would you like me to PM you my mailing address, or should I wait until I actually hand the DVD off to you?

Hehe, I'm just recalling that interview where the reporter said Richard "claimed" to work with the Muppets, lol. So what does that mean in our case? We "claim" to be Muppet fans? :insatiable:

Aw thanks a lot! I don't want to make you write your address for no reason, we can work it out there. What are your seats again?

We're in row K, 117-120.

Well, there's a joke in journalism: "If your mother says she loves you, check it out." But that one reporter ought to have done his or homework on the key Muppet team members.

Haha, good one. And it's true!

You know, I wonder if Jim Henson was at that event. Couldn't the reporter have just gone up to Jim and asked, "Does this man work for you?" Lol

Yeah, Jim probably was there, and the reporter could have double-checked...but you know, hindsight's 20/20.

I e-mailed Steve this morning - he says that Jane Hunt will be coming to the event.:excited:

Wow...the SST 40 event was awesome. I think it was a Muppet fan's dream come true, and certainly a dream come true for Richard's fans.

I mean, we got to meet Jane, they showed clips of Richard's work, the other panelists talked about him in detail, they donated their speaker's fee to the Sesame Workshop, in Richard's name...wow.

I had a lot of trouble getting to sleep last night; I was so wired. I finally had to get up after midnight and brew myself some chamomile tea.

When we were chatting in the moments before the event got started, Jane told me about how she's really felt Richard's presence in so many ways. The way I see it, considering all the Muppet-related nuttiness and camaraderie that went on last night, Richard was not only there, but he had a front-row seat.
