I have to admit, I have also pondered on where Beaker came from. In many ways he actually seems outside of Richard's typical preference (though he is loud, that probably helped!). I think your theory makes sense, MN, about inner insecurities. I said awhile back that maybe Beaker represented being different, misunderstood. Richard did seem pleased when a fan noticed Beaker wasn't as stupid as people thought.but I'm still wondering where Beaker came from. Perhaps Beaker is the expression of Richard's secret insecurities...either that or memories of a high school chemistry class gone awry?
That's what I love about the Muppets, how they celebrate being different and a little odd in such a beautiful and universal way. And you know, Jane did say Richard was a bit underestimated as a kid, when he was simply trying to observe the world around him.Beaker isn't that stupid, he can be pretty wicked at times. I think Beaker came from, yeah, insecurities, more specifically the part of Richard that wasn't necessarily understood. But I don't think he was working through these insecurities, I think he was celebrating these insecurities with a memorable character.
Cool Meep! So you figured out how to get tickets? I think I'm going to try as well.Edit: All right never mind I get it. I am sooo going.
Yup, of course Clementine could also be annoyed that FJ remembers Gene Autrey before her, lol. It does parallel, I think, most girls' frustration with their boyfriends/husbands!Looking at that exchange between Forgetful and Clementine, you've really got to admire Clementine, for having a lot of patience with Forgetful. And I love that line, "Aw, Gene Autry, I can never forget you." I'll bet that was thrown in for the adults watching.
Yeah I think I just reserved mine...they were very vague about it. "Maybe you just got your tickets", etc. It would suck driving all the way to Jersey to discover that I didn't even...but no matter, I probably got them.Btw here is the site for the Sesame Street event. It explains the event and where to go to order tickets. I would recommend doing it quickly as I don't think tickets are guaranteed if you wait too long.
Was that your confirmation email or just the message you got after ordering? I would suggest emailing the box office and asking for sure (boxoffice@wpunj.edu). I did that and they got back to me.Yeah I think I just reserved mine...they were very vague about it.
