Ah, one of those! Well if it must be done, your hometown is often best, or at least the place with the best memories! :wink:
Agreed. I am sure Richard loved performing for his hometown fans, too.

Case in point: when Amanda was in the third grade, Richard stopped by her school one day, puppets in tow, and put on a show for the whole school in the auditorium. As I recall, she said, "Boy, was I popular that day!"

Richard performed with, and in front of, a lot of famous people in his life, but I'll bet that for him, they weren't as important as the kids he put on shows for.

Duly received, Ed, and thanks a bunch. And I'll come up with an answer to the question you asked me about this latest haunter.

And I'd say right about now, our favorite puppet-wielding angels have a case of sugar shock from those limes in the coconut.

And let's face it: for kids in the 70s, let alone today, barbershop quartet would be ancient history.

I'm willing to bet that Richard was one of the three puppets in that number; wonder who the other two were?

Let's see...Scooter probably wished that the Singing Food would veg out a little bit, but the luggage wasn't a load of crock (or croc), the mountains rocked everyone's world, and after the ceremony, Billy was loaded for bear with some of those jokes...okay, enough of the bad puns. :wink:

What I really want to see is Scooter sing all the names of the guest stars, to the tune of "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General." (And it'd be a miracle if Richard wasn't completely winded or tongue-tied by the end of that song.)

Nice puns! ::groans appropriately::

Reminds me of how Frank Oz said once the Muppets just love their material and don't realize it's old standard Vaudeville!

"Can you do it one more time?

"Certainly!"

And can you do it really fast?"

Wow that list is always astounding to hear. Reminds me of reading the amount of posts on a certain MC thread. :wink:

Oh, I wouldn't say that. It's just...Rare to come by. Before I graduated, four boys in choir formed their own barbershop quartet. And they were great and they worked hard; I loved hearing them sing together. Unfortunately, two of the boys in it graduated the same time I did, and I don't really know what the other two are doing now that two of their members have left. Though I would imagine that the four of them still get together from time to time to work on songs, unless of course, the two that graduated moved or something.

I'm very sorry I haven't been posting. I've been lurking for almost a month now, trying to find the perfect moment to join in on a conversation and not feel like I'm intruding because I wouldn't really know what to say.

Going off topic, I'm disappointed because one of my favorite Broadway musicals has ended. But luckily, they filmed the final performance of it and showed it in movie theaters. I got to see that filmed final performance last night. It wasn't the same as seeing it live, but I liked how they put it together. I'm bringing this up, because I think there's a few similarities between Rent and the performers of the Muppets. I mean, Jonathan Larson was a genius that created something people would love, just like Jim Henson. And him and Jim were both taken away from us very quickly. And then there's my favorite character Angel, who reminds me of Richard. Both Richard and the character of Angel died of the same illness, but not before touching the lives of those close to them. Anyway, sorry...I just felt it necessary to say this.
