That makes sense, heralde. In more ways than not, it's pretty sad when a performer dies and his or her work lives on. Everybody here has a story about when they found out Richard had died, and how much it had affected them, mainly because it generally happened right after we discovered how wonderful he was. In many ways it's like a perpetual memorial service.You know what it was? I knew about Jim Henson, the person. When I watched Kermit, I knew on some level there was a person behind the magic. I didn't know about Richard, so to me Scooter was purely a character (in a good way). So finding out this news, initially you think of the character being "gone." I think that's why it seemed so particularly sad.
Anyway so Jane mentioned that she had spoken previously about a story in which Richard was on the roof during that sunset and storm. I can't remember that story from the first one, does anybody remember it being on the tribute show? Maybe she spoke about it off the record.
