Beth: Well, another week is almost over already
Wanda: I can't believe it's already Thursday!
Mokey: Time flies when you're having fun
Abby: Time flies? I didn't know clocks could fly!
Beth: It's an expression
Abby: A what?
Beth: Never mind. Hey Red, aren't you going to get the cheerleading team together for the year?
Red: Oh yeah! I almost forgot! I'll make a sign for auditions and put it up later
Beth: Sounds good. Have a good day guys!

Bert: You're home early.
Bryan: Yeah, I have a headache the size of Mount Rushmore.
Bert: That would be four.
Bryan: Huh?
Bert: Four heads, four headaches.
Bryan: *blink*
Bert: (lowers brow) Nevermind. Let me get you some peppermint tea.
Bryan: Thanks, Bert.
Bert: I've just been reading some of Beth's newest story. It's not bad.
Bryan: Really? I've been meaning to read some more of it.
Bert: Here, take my copy. Maybe it will relax you. Until Ernie comes in and practices his drums.
Bryan: What?
Bert: ...

Sweetums: Oh, hi Alex!
Bean: *playing marbles with Elmo* Hi Alex! How was class?
Alex: Oh, I haven't had it yet. Actually..... *looks at clock and groans* I should be leaving in just a minute.
Bean: Awww, but you just got back!
Alex: Yeah. That's how it goes around here....

Siwy scwewy scientists... If you actually read Claudia's fanfic, you'd know that the first Muppet to appear was Gonzo as Theodore Roosevelt and Camilla as Sacagewea, followed by my namesake as Rasputin. Now if you're going to subject her to forced revelations, see if you can get the next chapter out of her and posted in the threads please.

Scooter: (sitting on sofa with guitar) Wonder where everyone is?
Erin: (looks up from computer) Nora's having dinner with Mrs. Farley and her family...Storyteller's gone off to visit friends and Beige went back to the Cave for a visit.
Scooter: It's kind of quiet in here. (plucks a few notes)
Erin: And for the dorms, that's really odd. (types some more stuff at the computer, then pauses) You sound a little glum, Scooter.
Scooter: It's just been a long day, I guess.

(Erin gets up, goes back to her room, and reappears with her guitar)

Erin: (sitting down and tuning up) Feel like a duet or something?
Scooter: Sure, what tune do you want to do?
Erin: Hmm, let's see...(strums a few chords absentmindedly) maybe some ELP, or some Dire Straits...or how about something by James Taylor?
Scooter: Great...how about "Shower the People?"
Erin: Will do...and bear with me, 'cause I haven't practiced in a while.

(the two start playing)

Erin: You can play the game, and you can act out the part,
But you know it wasn't written for you,
But tell me, how can you stand there with your broken heart,
Ashamed to play the fool...

Scooter: One thing can lead to another,
It doesn't take any sacrifice,
Oh, father and mother, sister and brother,
If it feels nice, don't think twice, just...

Both: Shower the people you love with love,
Show them the way that you feel,
Things are going to work out fine, if you only will...
Shower the people you love with love,
Show them the way you feel,
Things are going to be much better, if you only will...

Scooter: You can run, but you cannot hide,
This is widely known,
And what you plan to do with your foolish pride,
When you're all by yourself, alone...

Erin: Once you tell somebody the way that you feel,
You can feel it beginning to ease,
I think it's true what they say about the squeaky wheel
Always getting the grease...better to...

Both: Shower the people you love with love,
Show them the way that you feel,
Things are going to be just fine if you only will,
Shower the people you love with love,
Show them the way you feel,
Things are going to be much better if you only will...

(up in heaven, Richard joins in on the descant as S. and E. repeat the chorus some more)

Richard: They say in every life...they say the rain must fall,
And just like the pouring rain...make it rain...make it rain,
Love, love, love is sunshine...make it rain...love, love, love is sunshine...

That's a nice song... But it makes me a bit sad.
Count: Vhy?
Cause it reminds me of wanting to hear Sara playing on her saxophone... And Diana, our long-ago heralded songbird.
Guess I'm getting a bit teary-eyed over memories of fellow MC friends who've moved out of the dorms.
UD: But their spirits have not yet departed.
Too true, too true. We should strive to listen... For listening is the first step and the last step. Wise was the Fraggle who said that.
Come on guys, let's see if there's anything good on the History Mystery channel.
UD: Certainly hope there's a new episode of that museum program.

Scooter: Good thing we didn't try for "Tears in Heaven."
Erin: I know, and when you consider what was going on in Clapton's life when he wrote that...
Scooter: Right. I chose the last one, so it's your turn to choose.
Erin: Okay, let's see...

(Storyteller and Beige enter)
Beige: Tell me you didn't just say that.
Storyteller: Oh, trust me, it's all true, and if...oh? Have you two been having a sing-along while we were gone?
Beige: I'd have brought my bongos if I'd known.

(Nora enters)
Nora: Hi, everyone, I'm back...dinner was good, but Mr. Farley's salamanders got loose again and started reciting most of Sartre.

Erin: Hmm...Scooter, I want to do an instrumental - it's the theme from "Local Hero," you know from that?
Scooter: Oh, yeah, it's the one by Dire Straits.
Storyteller: Sit down, Beige, Nora, we're about to get some music.

(the others sit as S. and E. start playing the slow, Scottish-themed melody)
