Wow! I'm so heartbroken right now. He's one of my childhood memories. My thoughts and prayers to his love ones.
Now that is a good question considering how the current show did away with the older adults… I can see the YouTube channel and Facebook book and Twitter mention the loss, but on the actual show ? I do not know ?I wonder if the show will address it at all.
They say he was on the show for 44 years since his debut in 1971 (Season 3), so that probably means that 2015 was his last year as a cast member, and that was 7 years ago. Chances are today's average 4-year-old has never seen him or heard of him.I wonder if the show will address it at all.
I bet there will likely be a memorial video on the show's official YouTube channel, to say the least.I understand we’re all eager to see more early unreleased content, but let’s not use Emilio’s passing as a way to hope for new previously unavailable content to surface through commercial media. If the workshop chooses to do something like at least a montage of the character then I think that’s fair, but wanting to see more official clip releases just because a cast member died I think is asking for a bit too much.
I got the news just now. Adios, Emilio. So upsetting. I was really looking forward to getting his autograph via GalaxyCon (now I can understand why he wasn't in the panel this time). But anyway, it's hard to believe I'm losing another big aspect of my childhood.
RIP Emilio. Thank you for all the entrainment you've given us as Luis all these years. Say hi to the gang for all of us. I hope you have fun catching up and reuniting with them.
