Speaking of golden oldies--

Rumor has it that by the end of Prince’s solo his guitar could no longer maintain physical presence in this world and became one with the universe on a sub-subatomic level -- see. =)

This is one of my favorite music performances OF ALL TIME. From any genre or decade. Period. Full stop.
And like you, I am befuddled by what Prince did with his guitar. It looks like he tossed up up behind his head, but I never saw it come down!

LOL -- yep, it either reached nirvana or badly needed a smoke. Or both. That's the way they could play the darn thing, now all but forgotten. =)

Youtube has wonderful Clapton's versions here and here, but Prince's take on it is simply a thing in itself.
