After my last diatribe about soft rock being under-appreciated, let's change it up a bit:

Oh my God, I was listening to a Jim Morrison interview from 50 years ago and he was complaining about the radio stations playing the same 30 songs over and over again. 🤣

Anyone here into Huey Lewis and the News? I've discovered a few of their songs like "Heart of Rock and Roll" and "Hip to Be Square" (which Sesame Street parodied in a brilliant animated segment), but this one remains my favorite!

The one song that tends to come to my mind whenever Huey Lewis is brought up is "Workin' for a Livin'."

I always thought their song "Do You Believe in Love" was an inferior rip of ELO's "Sweet Talkin' Woman", not because I dislike Huey & The News, but because "Sweet Talkin' Woman" is one of my fave songs of all-time.

They play a "mix" station at work that spins "Power of Love", "Do You Believe in Love", "The Heart of Rock & Roll" and "If This is It" a lot; he's probably one the top 5 artists on it, yet I have never heard the song D'Snowth cited. Wait till old man gobo comes through and tells you how much they spun Huey back in his day. 👴

The transcendency of the Muppets is insane... how pure is that, to be able to step into that world of peace and love, and then step out into the real world and remember how ****** life actually is. 🤣 I know that's a **** poor attitude, but that's how it is.

Most people would make fun of that clip for being soft, boring or lame, but in reality it's above their comprehension.

Anyway, I have been falling in love with one of my first classic rock crushes all over again:
