Oh, the commercial breaks were fine compared to how long they were during "A Charlie Brown Christmas/Charlie Brown's Christmas Tales" the other night. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! But, I agree that can get annoying when you get interested into what's going on. Hopefully this will get a DVD release and we won't have that problem.
New episodes tend to go to air with either fewer commercials, or they let it run over the alloted timeslot a tad, it all just depends. Once they go to reruns, however, they'll experience minor trims of dialogue, inserts, camera shots, what have you to condense them down to make room for more commercials. Most shows on TV run anywhere from 18 to 21 minutes, however I think many shows still produce episodes up to 22 minutes; the infamous "Yada-Yada-Yada" episode of SEINFELD actually originally ran 26 minutes - and that's how long shows used to be without commercials back in the 60s and 70s.

Does it still run at 26 minutes with today's overload of commerical breaks?

Nah, like I said, once they go to reruns, they usually get trimmed down to 21 minutes. However, now that commercialism is reducing shows down to 18-20 minutes, I've noticed rather than cut shows up even more, they're starting to speed them up (without affecting the pitch of the audio, thankfully - the first 3-4 seasons of the 80s Chipmunks cartoon are sped up to the point they sound like PAL broadcasts) - especially older shows that had main title theme songs, those are definitely being sped up.

It's ironic, because I remember a few years ago suggesting networks and channels do this to avoid cutting shows up; watching an uncut older show that ran for 26 minutes with the Rapid Play feature on the DVD player, I've found that they run for about 17 minutes. I guess the same could be said for hour-long shows: back in the day, they used to run 48-52 minutes without commercials . . . now they run 41-43 minutes without commercials.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the ratings are the same as last week. Not back up. It has a demo share of 1.1. At least it didn't drop, but it's not amazing.

Hopefully the spring return will kick it up a few notches. If it can get anywhere between a 1.7 or a 2.0 would be enough to secure things.

I honestly prefer watching it on any website but ABC; the ABC player is crap, no commercials, no buffering times...

That's giving me a lot of popups. I usually watch the episodes here: http://putlocker.is/watch-the-muppets-tvshow-season-1-episode-10-online-free-putlocker.html
