Brio's one of the Minstrels from Fraggle Rock; she plays the cymbals, has glasses, and is the only Minstrel apart from Cantus that looks Fraggle-like. We only get to see her for 3 episodes, and she's more of a background character, but it's just adorable to watch her.

Just me doodling my fav Muppets for a meme I saw floating around on DevArt. (which I hope to finish... sometime this year. :\ )
I don't know why, but I seem to have an odd fascination for background/minor/oneshot Muppets. Especially, Trumpet/Trombone Girl, she baffles me. Everyone else is pretty self explanatory, how the heck did she end up as one of my favorites when she had only one line in the entire show? And yet I have parts of her backstory already in my head, named her Alice and paired her up with Lips.
Ah well, I was pretty happy that they brought her, Nigel, Lips, and Strangepork back for the movie. Now if only they could've snuck in Pops as well...

Oh and last note, if there's ever a crime these guys are guilty of committing, it's for confusing poor artists like me with them never making up their mind as to how tall they are. Darn you Muppets and your fluctuating heights!

Yes, Bunsen on his own! Everyone tends to forget about Bunsen in favor of Beaker, but I find him a wonderful character by himself. He's so cheerily oblivious despite his vast wealth of knowledge yet he's very passionate about his work. And yes, even though his experiments turn out not so great on Beaker's behalf, he's still pretty nice to him. Plus, I adore his hissing laugh. Tss, tss, tss, tss!

I was watching the Kaye Ballard episode of TMS, and really liked the scene where Rowlf and Nigel play the theme song together, and I get bored with keeping one avatar for too long, so there's that.

Plus I swear he looks just like a Fraggle.

Glad to see another Bunsen fan here, I love that guy for all the rasons above and then some. He and Beaker have been duking it out in my mind for the title of "Ozy's Favorite Muppet" ever since I watched that one episode of Muppets Tonight where Beaker leaves on a Star Trek cruise and meets George Takei (also known as the BEST MUPPETS TONIGHT EPISODE EVER), and Bunsen basically admitted in the beginning of the episode that he was lonely, and he didn't really belong with the others. I really identified with that (as I was in a very similar situation growing up), and it was the first time I really identified with a Muppet on a personal level, so he and Beaker are now tied for my favorite character. Seeing him with Beaker makes me smile; seeing him on his own is even better because it's rare that it happens.

Oh goodness, I just watched that episode out of curiosity, and he was so adorkable in that episode! (I laughed at the bodybuilder outfit, goodness Bunsen is ripped under that labcoat! Who would've thunk it? )
But yeah, I can totally identify with Bunsen in the socially awkward department: passionate of work yet terrible people skills. But I do admire his perseverance and willingness to change and experience some "adventure" instead of just moping about his predicament. It's lovely character development and makes me an even bigger Bunsen fan.

I laughed so hard when I saw that part, because all I could think of was an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan comic by booter-freak on dART, where Iroh's been caught by Azula, and she's mocking him for being fat. He's all "WHO ARE YOU CALLING FAT?" and flexed his muscles, causing half his clothes to rip off. XD I can totally imagine Bunsen and Phil Van Neuter pulling off the same joke, and oh snap now I've gotta go and draw that. XDDDDD

THIS. The worst thing the writers could have done would have been to Shinjify him ALA Neon Genesis Evangelion, but they gave him some really clever character development instead (something he kind of needed at that point). Now, if only the writers would've set up a rivalry between Bunsen and Van Neuter, because there was some serious potential there for awesome shenanigans to go down.

Anyways, enough of me muffining your thread. Carry on with your awesome art.

Oh I remember there being a vid on youtube of MuppetFest, and Bunsen and Van Neuter finally met, eventually resulting in Bunsen twiddling Van Neuter's ears somehow. Too bad I can't find those darn vids...

Introducing Biker Janice from Ruahnna's amazing and ushy gushy fanfic, Kermie's Girls.
I just love drawing clothes for Janice, she's got a fun fashion sense that's much more down to earth than Piggy's, yet still unique and artsy. Can't wait to tackle her Christmas tree dress eventually.

It's always nice to see more appreciation for Jan too. She's one of my favorite muppets ever.

I love Janice, her and Zoot are like my absolute favorites.
Maybe it's because she's not a stage hog, or she's got an artsy side to her, or has a unique sense of independence and humor, or because she is really pretty and a talented singer/guitarist, or because she seems to have the patience of a saint working in close proximity with 3 other scraggly men and a wild thing as bandmates in a hectic crazy theater for so long.
She's a strong gal without having to resort to making airs.

I love that outfit Janice has on SO. MUCH. It's a nice play on the poodle skirt, and I love her boots! Her legs do seem a bit long, but this is muppet proportions we are talking about, so you could probably get away with it.

I saw the transcripts and photos of that exchange on MuppetWiki (Can I just say how much I love that site? Because I love that site ), and just the mental image of Bunsen saying "Woogie woogie woogie!" makes me giggle.

Haha, I'm half tempted to write a fic where Bunsen find's out about Van Neuter's family life. I tell you, it has to be INSANE having Composta Heap *shudders* as your wife, your assistant as your brother in law, and having Zelda Rose be your mother. That, and just the fact that Van Neuter looks faintly like Dr. Horrible is giving me ideas. >:-D Fly, my plot bunnies, fly!
