Farscape wins Saturn award for Best Cable Series Three-time Saturn recipient Farscape off air, but not over Courtesy
of Cinescape "This is the third time in a row we’ve been out here," commented Farscape star Ben Browder at last weekend’s 29th annual Saturn Awards in Hollywood, California. "And, I have to tell you, it just gets sweeter each time!" Despite the show’s much publicized cancellation, Browder, his co-star Claudia Black, and showrunner David Kemper all were optimistic about the future of the franchise. "We’re honored to receive the 2003 Saturn," said Kemper about taking home the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series. "As the Saturns show, Farscape has a strong fan-base. It's nice to know that something you're doing is being recognized and honored. The show is off air, but Farscape isn't over. We're not done with these characters yet.” "I love
the Saturns," said Black. "Especially for these types of [genre]
programs, there’s a tendency for them to pushed under the rug a
little bit. But the Saturns seek them out!" |
