Muppet Show toys no longer sold by EM.TV Courtesy
of Die Welt EM.TV & Merchandising AG, the German media group, is no longer involved in the production of toys for The Muppet Show, the TV series, having sold its 65 per cent stake in Junior.Toys AG. It is believed that the stake is being bought by Harald Krol, a Junior.Toys director. However, licensing rights to the Muppets will remain with EM.TV. EM.TV says that the sale is part of its ongoing restructuring process. This will include the sale of the Jim Henson Company, which produces The Muppet Show and Sesame Street. According to EM.TV, there are several parties interested in this sale, and initial discussions are believed to have taken place. |
