18 Emmy nominations for JHC

Here's a rundown of Emmy nominations earned this year by The Jim Henson Company.  For more nominations, visit the Emmy Nominations site.

Overall, "Merlin" is in third place for nominations (with 15), only beaten by "From The Earth To The Moon" with 17, and "ER" and "The X-Files" each with 16.  "Muppets Tonight" and "The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss" each earned one.  Apple's "Think Different" commercial featuring Jim and Kermit was also nominated.

In 1997, Muppets Tonight was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, while The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program.  Jim Henson was inducted into The Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1987.
