CTW and Nickelodeon form new cable channel Courtesy
of ZENtertainment Nickelodeon and the Children's Television Workshop (Sesame Street, 3-2-1- Contact, and the Electric Company) are teaming up to create the new cable network Noggin, which will feature programming targeted towards kids under 11. The network, expected to launch in January, will feature reruns of both NICK and CTW programming. Will we finally be able to see the early Sesame Street shows again from the early '70s? We'll have to wait and see... stay tuned for the latest details. Noggin is a separate channel from the one that JHC is planning to begin as reported in January. Margaret Loesch, president of the Jim Henson TV Group will be overseeing the formation of a new general entertainment cable channel whereas Noggin is geared toward children under 11.
