My thoughts...

Episode 4114: Snow White and The "Seven"? Dwarves.
Missed out on the Today on SS! bit...
Elmo greeted a few kids, not sure if I got their names right though. There was a bit of music coming from around the corner...
Dwarves: "Oh me, oh my..."
Nice jab at the Disney version of the Dwarves' song.
Snow White introduced herself and counted up all the dwarves, well trained due to her barking out commands with the aid of a trusty whistle.
Funny how each dwarf left Snow White's company, complimenting the joke name they were each given.
Sammy (me thinks it was Kevin Clash) left to be Breadcrumb #3 in a production of Hansel and Gretel, he had a bit of an actor's complex. Sensitive Nose and Smelly (Marty Robinson) left because they couldn't take Smelly's smelly smelling cheese kept in his shoes. Itchy (Carmen Osbar's Rosita voice) left to go get her backscratcher, Gasey had a bloated stomach, and Vertigo (Fran Brill) felt too dizzy. Clumsy was the last to leave, falling down and breaking his ankles I think.
Elmo kept cheering up Snow White after some of the dwarves left, teaching subtraction. Some adlibbing here, and of course Snow White almost snapped when there were no dwarves left. Elmo then went to get six kids and Alan to substitute.
Snow White: "Isn't he a bit tall for a dwarf"?
That reminds me of a joke from Whose Line for those of you who watch that show.
They just sort of left the street...
Alan: How long do we have to sing?
Snow White: Until happily ever after.

Highlights.
1 Film Segment: Kid using a digital camera to show us her friends' different emotions at the playground.
2 Letter of the Day: O, repeat where Cookie thinks it's a cookie because of its round shape.
3 Soul O song/cartoon.
4 There was this clip with a lady saying "O" at different intervals, didn't rully understand what was going on there.
5 Classic Song/Sketch: The Singing Dentists.
6 Bert and Ernie Song: "It's A Circle." Reminds me of "La-la-la".
7 Number of the Day: 7.
8 Kids hand-clapping/foot-stomping game for the number 7.
9 Classic Song: The Alligator King! Extreme gladness!
10 Elmo's World: Penguins, New!
There was a funny clip with Big Bird and his cousin Blubba from the South Pole...
And an E-mail from Grover about how the penguins would fly back to Capistrano.
Grover, at the end of the E-mail... Are there any swallows around here?!
11 ATG: The Stinky Sock, New.

Lowpoints.
1 Strawberry rhyme/song.
2 Song: The Letter O is in Da House, don't rully like this one.
3 Bit where a kid just keeps saying "toothpaste" didn't understand this one either.

There you have it, a new episode and I'm looking forward to the other one this week on Thursday.

Enjoyed every bit of it. I love all the new episodes. I just kind of wished they would go back to having the story told through out the episode other then having a short one. But oh well. Keep them coming SW.

Some cute lines here and there, but I didn't like this one too much. It just got too repetitive. I will give points to Sesame Workshop for doing some math for once.

Loved all the classic clips in there. It made me feel like I was watching an episode from when I was little.

I can't wait for Thursday's episode. It sounds like it'll be the best of the season, for me at least. Maria and Luis are my favorite characters after Big Bird. So nice to see them get an episode again.

No... Don't think Burgess Meredith ever appeared on either show.
But there is a memorable cameo by Danny DeVito on SS... He's just walking down the street, and Oscar spots him. Oscar then laughs a little grouchily, Danny matching his volley, going back and forth a few times. They sort of gain a grouchy respect for each other at the end of the scene, Danny walking off screen.
Hope this helps.

I could not believe yesterday's episode, 4114! When I saw the "Animal Elevator Song" come on, I was like, "Oh my GOD!!!!!!" It was GREAT to see that one again! And I thought THAT was the big classic, but then, just a few segments later, "Say Toothpaste Somebody" which was even MORE of a shocker!! I thought that was it, but then there was that classic film with trying to find circles, with Maria's voiceover! I couldn't believe it. And then, there was the big classic...THE ALLIGATOR KING!!!! WOW!!!! I really think SS has learned to start bringing back some of the classics!

Agreed. A great episode, moreso because of the sketches/songs/segments they stuffed into it. Makes me look forward to tomorrow's new episode!

And whoever that celebrity was at the beginning of the one from Season 35 they showed today, the one with the singing groups/flashbacks... We're putting her on a two-week ban from naming/nominating favorite SS moments.
Nope, that pick's not gonna fly as a "favorite" SS moment. Delete and bring in the next person.

As much as I also enjoy seeing the classics return, I certainly do not mind seeing new fresh stuff. In fact, I LOVE newer things as long as they are clever and fun. I get excited when there are really great new songs such as Big Bird and Snuffy's song to Abby in the season premeire. Anyone have a recording of that by the way. Unfortunately, I lost my Tivo recording of the episode by accident. I sure hope they re-air it sometime as I like to keep copies of special episodes like that in my collection.

I love the classic films, as well. I hope there's going to be more great classic stuff in the other new episodes.

Will post thoughts on 4115 later today.

But a few things from 4114 I forgot.
Global Grover: Biking in the Netherlands, I think this was a repeat.
And to add to the marvelling over classic stuff packed into 4114... During the block for the Number of the Day...
Not only did we get the song/animation for The Alligator King, but we also got a classic segment about the seven jazzy cats.
Was so groovy to see that one again.

I have a few comments on today's ep. First of all, there's another continuity error. Maria and Luis didn't honeymoon in Hawaii. They were camping out somewhere. I understand that kids who watch the show wouldn't remember this stuff, but you'd think they'd try to be a little more consistent. They might want to know what really happened. It seems like there just doing whatever they can to incorporate the letter 'h.' Also for that game show host that showed up, they could have used Sonny Friendly instead of creating a new character. He used to get on Maria's nerves all the time. Heck, he even showed up on the honeymoon. I know David Rudman took over performing him when Richard Hunt died, so it's not like he's without a pupateer. Also, some people mentioned the possibility of Herb replacing Snuffy. I thought that too. In fact with the loud noise that Maria and Luis heardI thought it would be Herb again especially since they had a letter 'h' theme. Luckily it was good ol' Snuffy. I'm hoping Herb was just a one-shot character.

The highlight of this ep though was Cookie Monster's conversation with Matt Lauer. That really cleared up a fear that most of us at MC have had of Cookie Monster becoming fruit monster. After all, we all know he eats fruits too, ever since his "Healthy Food" song, but he's still pretty much himself. We all hope that will never change.
