The person on the phone said their deal to release FR is exclusively with Walmart, so I doubt it will be different in the immediate future.
To bad, was just hoping that I could get it from a cheaper website than HIT's own online store, it's very expensive to get a order shiped to europe from that site, and the DVD is even more expensive than in Walmart :smirk:

BTW. In a mail I sent sometime ago I asked them if they would consider a widely release in Europe, since in many of the contries over here it's the US doc we are used to. They said that they did not have any release schedule for Europe at this time, but they are looking to do so in the future.

No effence dk,but i recall europe already having a fraggle dvd release that had 12 episodes and behind the scenes.Obviously hit sees a higher demand for the dvd in america and it'd be much easier making one for us any way.Cause most of us speak the same language. Also we have to remember hit is a rooky in the home entertainment buisness so they may not feel comfortable trying to dish out dvds across the globe and then make 0 profit back in return. But keep your fingers crossed  .

Thats correct if you would claim that a UK only release means all of europe, I know that people from the US have problems with identifying the countries in europe but to claim UK=europe is a bit to far.

BTW that DVD has gone out of production, since the contract with Columbia/tristar has expired, and is diffycult to get hands on right now.

I was finally able to pick up this dvd yesterday, and I just watched the first episode. It's been so long since I was able to watch an episode of Fraggle Rock, and it's great to see it again! I can't wait for the subsequent releases, but I'm a little disappointed to hear that the next dvd will have the same episodes plus more bonuses. Oh well, I can wait for more episodes.

I went out and bought this the same day I read it was out on Muppet Central which was yesterday. I barely remembered the show, I hadn't seen it in ages, all I remember was the fraggle singing and going around the cave and liking it. Anyway I bought it and I loved it, great stuff. The only thing was I love how Jim Henson puts music in all there stuff and the songs are fabulous but the voice actors really aren't singers but that just a minor complaint, over-rall loved it and would love to see season sets. Am I the only one who thinks the old make is a sick, cruel and demented ******* :frown: That poor dog

I posted a review on MC reviews and I gave it a 4 & 1/2 Kermit rating (pingu being a minor annoyance). The episodes in question could not have been better merged; you actually have a moment to reflect before the next episode begins. Hip Hip HOORAY for HIT! Are there any more DVD releases for FR (as I got hooked on the "Where it All Began" DVD)?

BJ

Edit: needed parentheses!!

Yes there are 2 more Fraggle DVD releases. France has a boxset with the french doc, in french only. And theres a doubble DVD in the UK with the Captain. But these releases are going to disapear when the current stock sells out, it took me awhile until I found a online store that still had the UK release.
