Yeah, and when Bluth hit his slump in the 90s, that was when Disney was doing it's darkest and most complex stories to date.
Really was a shame for Titan A.E., which felt more like a return to form for Bluth, but killed his career thanks to an oversaturation of hand-drawn films and sci-fi films in 1999.

Yeah, 1999 really wasn't a great year for long standing family franchises, was it?

Ever notice how Disney has to keep their image of being family friendly that anything PG-13 or R has to go STRAIGHT to touchstone pictures?

Yeah, I forget the exact circumstances, or which Disney movie lead to its formation, but there was a discomfort back in the 80s with edgier, more mature themes and plots being used in Disney movies, hence why they formed Touchstone . . . kind of like JHC has its Henson Alternative division for the more adult stuff like Puppet Up! and such.

You ever notice how one of the easiest ways to start arguments and get angry reactions on Facebook is either put up the confederate flag or the pride one?

You ever notice how one of the easiest ways to start arguments and get angry reactions on Youtube is to say literally anything. :stick_out_tongue:
