I think that's why Touchstone was specifically created.

Yeah, I forget the exact circumstances, or which Disney movie lead to its formation, but there was a discomfort back in the 80s with edgier, more mature themes and plots being used in Disney movies, hence why they formed Touchstone . . . kind of like JHC has its Henson Alternative division for the more adult stuff like Puppet Up! and such.
