I never really noticed, but when I get it exchanged, I'll let you know. BTW, we missed you yesterday, where were you?
In a hotel room in Maine! I'm typing this from Vermont, actually. I got on for a minute in the morning, but that was it.

DVD recorders can be frustrating. You have my sympathy. And consider yourself lucky - I can't even play +RW discs!

We have a DVD Recorder/ Video Recorder dombination but I still haven't been able to force myself to change from VHS to DVD all the time.

With a tape, you have the reassurance that everything you put there is there until you put something else there!

"Ah, back to nature. I love it out here in the woods. It's where a bear should be."

...I couldn't resist...

Actually, I can never resist saying "But seriously, I'm in Maine" everytime anyone says that word.

Yeah, their DVD+RW. Another thing too, whenever the discs get erased, a window pops up that say: "The Disc is Damaged", however, whenever the disc is ejected, and I exam the disc REALLY carefully, and I see no scratch, no smudge, no nothing!

I'm sorry, it's just that I spent HOURS yesterday transferring six complete episodes of Courage the Cowardly Dog from VHS to DVD, and today, I prepare to finish the disc with some little special features like old promos and stuff...the whole disc gets erased! Thankfully, my parents are going to exchange the recorder, because this isn't the first time this has happened. At least I've already gotten the first 7 episodes successfully transferred to the first disc.
D'Snowth, next time try using DVD-R's. This is always what I use. I edit video and make DVD's all the time, a good rule of thumb is if you're burning something you want to keep, always use a non-rewritable DVD format.

Yeah, but then the problem is, if something went wrong during the recording, then you wouldn't be able to re-do it.
